Apink’s Bomi to Marry Producer Rado in May 2026
South Korean actress and singer Bomi, 32, from the popular K-pop girl group Apink, has announced her engagement to renowned producer Rado, 41, known for his work with the acclaimed production duo Black Eyed Pilseung. The couple plans to tie the knot in May 2026, as confirmed by Bomi’s agency, With Us Entertainment, on December 18, following speculation about their upcoming marriage.
According to the agency’s statement, Bomi expressed her excitement about marrying “her precious partner who has stood by her side for a long time.” The couple has been in a relationship since 2017, although their romance became public knowledge only in 2024.
Commitment to Career and Fans
Bomi’s agency emphasized that the singer intends to continue her professional activities as a member of Apink, as well as pursue her career as an actress and variety show entertainer after the wedding. “We will strive to repay the constant support from our fans by greeting you with even more maturity and responsibility,” With Us Entertainment stated.
In a separate announcement, High Up Entertainment, the agency where Rado serves as chief producer, confirmed that he too plans to remain dedicated to his music career post-marriage. This commitment reflects both artists’ desire to maintain their professional paths alongside their personal lives.
Following the announcement, Bomi took to the fan cafe of Apink to share a handwritten letter, addressing her supporters directly. She expressed her concerns about fans learning of the news through media outlets rather than from her personally. “I feel especially apologetic when I think about the hearts of fans who have always supported and loved someone as imperfect as me,” she wrote.
Looking to the Future
Bomi reassured fans of her dedication to her career, stating, “I have decided to spend my future life together with someone who has been by my side for a long time, sharing everyday life with me and staying with me through both joyful moments and times of uncertainty.” She also promised to continue living responsibly and to provide even better content for her fans, affectionately known as Pandas.
As Apink approaches its 15th anniversary in 2026, the group is preparing to release new music. Their discography includes popular hits such as NoNoNo and Mr Chu. The group, which also features members Chorong, Eunji, Namjoo, and Hayoung, last performed in Singapore in February 2023. In a recent interview, Apink revealed plans for a new album and expressed enthusiasm about creating more opportunities to connect with their fans.
Bomi’s announcement marks a significant moment for both her personal life and her ongoing career in the entertainment industry. As she prepares for this new chapter, fans are eager to support her journey both as an artist and as an individual.
