Vietnam Healthcare Summit 2025 Drives Innovation and Investment
The Vietnam Healthcare Summit 2025, organized by Vietnam Innovators Digest, took place on October 28, 2025, at the JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon. The summit gathered over 200 healthcare leaders, investors, policymakers, and experts from Vietnam and abroad to discuss the nation’s potential as a regional hub for healthcare innovation. The event’s overarching theme was “Making Vietnam an Innovation Hub Through Healthcare.”
Focus on Patient-Centered Innovation
The summit began with a report from Hello Health Group, which presented the latest insights into the healthcare perspectives, attitudes, and needs of Vietnamese citizens. Morning sessions emphasized the importance of patient-centered innovation and improving access to healthcare services. Discussions highlighted strategies for effective public-private collaboration, enhancing community-level healthcare delivery, and transforming pharmacies into integrated care platforms. Technological solutions aimed at improving clinical outcomes and establishing robust digital infrastructure were also showcased.
Alexandra Smith, the British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, spoke about Vietnam’s dynamic market. She noted, “Vietnam is a very exciting and forward-looking market—one that is actively seeking scalable solutions and embracing technology to meet the healthcare needs of its people. Innovation and digital tools are key enablers, but trust remains the foundation for lasting partnerships.” Smith added that there is significant potential for deeper UK-Vietnam connections through investment and collaboration, as more British companies enter the Vietnamese market.
Exploring Financial Models and Digital Transformation
The afternoon sessions transitioned into discussions on digital transformation and innovative financial models aimed at scaling healthcare advancements. Participants explored the potential for partnerships between health-tech startups and traditional hospital systems to optimize costs and enhance treatment outcomes. Notably, the summit introduced Vietnam’s first social loan for healthcare, showcasing how multinational corporations are collaborating with public institutions to drive systemic transformation through innovative public-private partnership (PPP) models.
During the summit, Deepanshu Madan, Chief Executive Officer of Pharmacity Pharmacy Joint Stock Company, emphasized the importance of understanding people’s needs in healthcare innovation. He stated, “Innovation in healthcare is not just about technology or capital; it begins with understanding what people truly need and creating solutions that improve their lives every day. That requires close collaboration among consumers, policymakers, and partners to stay focused on what truly matters.”
Francis Tuan Anh Nguyen, Founder and CEO of OneMedic Joint Stock Company, highlighted the role of artificial intelligence in healthcare. He clarified, “The goal of artificial intelligence in healthcare is not to replace doctors, but to support them in making faster, more accurate decisions and expanding access to care, even in remote and underserved areas.” Nguyen noted that while AI serves as a tool, the responsibility for diagnosis and treatment remains with physicians.
The Vietnam Healthcare Summit 2025 provided a comprehensive platform for addressing critical challenges and developing innovative solutions within the healthcare sector. The discussions covered a range of topics, from cutting-edge medical technologies to long-term investment strategies. The summit also focused on enabling policies and public-private partnership models that reflect the evolving trajectory of Vietnam’s healthcare system.
Through professional organization and a strong alignment between content and practical action, the summit reaffirmed a commitment to positioning innovation as a driving force for the sustainable development of Vietnam’s healthcare sector. As stakeholders mobilize resources and accelerate digital transformation, the vision for a modern, sustainable, and patient-centered healthcare system in Vietnam continues to take shape.
