Scottie Scheffler Secures Fourth Consecutive PGA Tour Player of the Year

Scottie Scheffler has been named the PGA Tour Player of the Year for the fourth consecutive season, as announced by the PGA Tour on December 15, 2025. This achievement places Scheffler alongside golf legend Tiger Woods, who previously won the award four times in a row from 1999 to 2003. Scheffler’s remarkable performance this year included two major victories among his six titles, solidifying his status as one of the top players in the sport.

The prestigious Jack Nicklaus Award, which is determined by a vote from PGA Tour members, recognized Scheffler over notable competitors including Tommy Fleetwood, Ben Griffin, and Rory McIlroy. As the world number one, Scheffler led the tour with an impressive total of 17 top-10 finishes during the 2025 season, showcasing his consistent excellence. Notably, he did not miss a single cut throughout the year, bringing his career major tally to four with victories at the PGA Championship and the British Open.

Scheffler is now just one major title away from achieving the coveted career Grand Slam, a milestone reached by only six golfers in history.
