Vice President Radhakrishnan Highlights PM Modi’s Global Impact

In a recent event held in New Delhi on September 22, 2023, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “a living inspiration for millions across the country and abroad.” This statement came during the launch of two volumes of Modi’s speeches, which were released by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Radhakrishnan emphasized that Modi motivates individuals through his personal example, urging them to strive for excellence. He noted that the Prime Minister has evolved from being a representative of the common man to a true people’s leader. “His determination demonstrates how the impossible can be made possible,” Radhakrishnan stated, referring to the Prime Minister’s mantra, “Namumkin ko Mumkin karna, Asambhav ko Sambhav Karna.”
The newly released volumes, titled Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas, encompass the fourth and fifth years of Modi’s second term. They provide insight into his contributions, vision, and aspirations for India. The volumes contain a total of 158 speeches, including 76 speeches and 12 episodes of Mann Ki Baat for 2022-23, along with 82 speeches and 9 episodes for 2023-24, organized into 11 thematic sections.
Radhakrishnan highlighted that these speeches reflect the Prime Minister’s clarity of thought and commitment to inclusive governance. He commended the Publications Division of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for their meticulous selection and presentation of the speeches. Quoting Swami Vivekananda, he remarked, “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached,” underscoring the message of persistence found throughout Modi’s addresses.
The Vice President pointed out that Modi’s speeches convey a vision aimed at ensuring government schemes reach the most marginalized individuals in society. He stressed the importance of cultural initiatives such as Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, Kashi Tamil Sangamam, and Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, as well as the renaming of Delhi’s Rajpath to Kartavya Path, in reviving India’s cultural identity.
On the topic of youth empowerment, Radhakrishnan praised initiatives like Startup India, Fit India, Khelo India, Skill India, and Rozgar Melas. He described these programs as foundational pillars for achieving a developed India by 2047. Additionally, he noted the launch of Mera Yuva Bharat as a significant initiative aimed at empowering the nation’s youth.
During his remarks, Radhakrishnan also addressed India’s recent hosting of the G20 summit, highlighting the inclusion of the African Union as a permanent member. This move aligns with Modi’s vision of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the idea that the world is one family.
He characterized Modi’s speeches as encapsulating a “360-degree engagement,” emphasizing their dual focus on shaping global agendas and driving local initiatives such as Vocal for Local, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. According to Radhakrishnan, these programs reflect the Sustainable Development Goals and effect real change in people’s lives.
He concluded by noting that through various initiatives—including Jan Dhan Yojana, Aadhaar-Mobile linkage, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Lakhpati Didi, PM-KISAN for farmers, Mudra Yojana, and PM SVANidhi—over 25 million people have been lifted out of extreme poverty in the past decade.
The event marks a significant moment in showcasing the transformative vision of Prime Minister Modi, as articulated through his extensive body of work, which serves as a testament to his leadership and commitment to the nation.
