Anycubic Unveils Three Innovative 3D Printers at Formnext 2025
Anycubic introduced a trio of groundbreaking products at Formnext 2025 in Frankfurt, Germany, on November 20, 2025. This launch marks a significant advancement in desktop manufacturing, showcasing the company’s commitment to enhancing production capabilities with innovative technology. The new lineup includes the Kobra S1 Max and Kobra X, two advanced FDM systems, along with the Photon P1, a resin printer designed for professionals.
James Ouyang, CTO of Anycubic, emphasized the shift in manufacturing needs: “The boundary between hobby tools and production tools is disappearing. What creators need now is desktop equipment that behaves like factory-grade machinery—steady, predictable, and material-ready.”
Introducing the Kobra S1 Max
The Kobra S1 Max stands as a cornerstone of Anycubic’s new offerings. This large-format CoreXY platform is tailored for users seeking production-level stability and versatility in materials. With a build volume of 350 × 350 × 350 mm, it features a heated chamber reaching 65°C, a hotend capable of 350°C, and a heated bed at 120°C. These specifications enable compatibility with engineering materials such as PC, PA, ABS, and carbon-fiber composites.
The Kobra S1 Max introduces the upgraded ACE 2 Pro technology, which is powered by four independent brushless motors. This setup significantly reduces color-change times while enhancing stability and noise control. Coupled with hardened-steel extrusion components and the LeviQ 3.0 auto-leveling system, the S1 Max is engineered for creators focused on producing durable parts efficiently.
Advancements with the Kobra X
The Kobra X refines Anycubic’s approach to multi-color 3D printing with its second-generation architecture. This system optimizes the single-nozzle technology, resulting in cleaner transitions and minimized material waste. The new ACE GEN2 feature cuts the purging distance from 160 mm to just 30 mm, effectively halving both time and filament use.
Standard support includes four-color printing, which can be expanded up to 19 colors, alongside stable mixing capabilities for materials such as PLA + TPU or PLA + PVA. The Kobra X also boasts improved extrusion pressure control and high-speed motion performance, achieving speeds of 600 mm/s.
The Photon P1: A New Standard for Resin Printing
The Photon P1 makes a significant entry into the desktop resin market, featuring components typically found in industrial printers. It supports resins with viscosities up to 8000 cps and includes a dual-platform and dual-vat system for true two-material printing. One of its standout features is the Wave Release Film + NFEP dual-layer separation system, which reduces peel force by 60%.
With a Z-axis repeatability of ±0.01 mm and a high-flatness steel build plate, the Photon P1 is designed for precision prototyping as well as small-batch production. Ouyang described the machine as “a resin machine designed not just for models, but for real parts—functional, repeatable, and ready for small-batch production.”
Anycubic’s latest products embody a clear vision for the future of desktop manufacturing, emphasizing trends such as higher automation, enhanced material adaptability, and the transition from hobby-grade tools to production-ready systems. Ouyang summarized the company’s mission succinctly: “Our goal is simple: bring factory-level capability to a desktop footprint, and make it accessible to the global maker and engineering community.”
With the Kobra S1 Max, Kobra X, and Photon P1, Anycubic aims to provide a comprehensive ecosystem for creators, engineers, and small-scale manufacturers who seek reliable, high-performance desktop fabrication solutions.
