Advantest Boosts Profit Forecast by 24% Driven by AI Demand

Japanese chip testing equipment manufacturer Advantest has significantly increased its full-year operating profit forecast by 24%, citing strong demand for semiconductors utilized in artificial intelligence applications. On Tuesday, the company announced that it now anticipates an operating profit of 300 billion yen (approximately $2.02 billion) for the fiscal year ending in March 2026. This marks a substantial revision from its previous forecast of 242 billion yen.
The updated forecast exceeds the average estimate of 302.05 billion yen from a survey conducted by LSEG involving 23 analysts. This revision reflects the surging interest and investment in AI technologies, which has driven demand for the semiconductor components that Advantest specializes in testing.
