Aloft Surabaya Pakuwon City Launches as Premier MICE Venue
Aloft Surabaya Pakuwon City officially opened its doors on September 15, 2025, establishing itself as the leading destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) in East Surabaya. This new property, part of the esteemed Marriott International portfolio, is designed to cater to the evolving needs of business and social events, offering expansive venues equipped with advanced technology and a distinctive design aesthetic.
Strategically Located for Business Travelers
The hotel is directly connected to Pakuwon City Mall, the largest lifestyle complex in Surabaya, providing convenience for business delegates. Its prime location also allows easy access to key attractions such as Kenjeran Beach, the Suramadu Bridge, and Juanda International Airport, making it an ideal choice for both domestic and international visitors.
Aloft Surabaya Pakuwon City features seven versatile Tactic rooms, each showcasing modern designs and vibrant colors. The largest ballroom spans an impressive 489 square meters and includes high ceilings, a spacious pre-function foyer, and state-of-the-art audiovisual technology. This allows for a wide range of events, from product launches to weddings.
“We are excited to introduce a new MICE destination in East Surabaya, with facilities designed to accommodate corporate and social events of any scale,” said Reza Aryawarman, Multi-Property General Manager of Pakuwon Portfolio Hotels under Marriott International. He emphasized that the hotel embodies the Aloft spirit of bold design and energetic hospitality while being tailored for the business community.
A Unique Blend of Business and Lifestyle
True to the Aloft brand, the hotel offers guests a blend of business amenities and lifestyle experiences. Delegates can indulge in Asian comfort food with a modern twist at Vibe Restaurant, enjoy live music and cocktails at Echo Lounge & Bar, or relax at the W XYZ ® bar. For those needing a quick snack, Re:fuel by Aloft ® is available around the clock.
Adding a local touch, the hotel features two mascots, Elzo (Electric-Zone) and Keppy (Kepo and Happy), inspired by Surabaya’s folklore icons, Sura and Baya. These characters, derived from the mural series “Merasa Bahagia” by local artist Peter Rhian, permeate the hotel’s design through murals, digital art, and limited-edition merchandise, celebrating the city’s cultural identity.
The hotel comprises 233 loft-inspired guest rooms and suites, each equipped with platform beds, walk-in showers, and 55-inch smart TVs. The smart layouts and modern amenities make these rooms perfect for both work and relaxation. Above the beds, variations of the “Merasa Bahagia” mural provide a lively design element, while large windows offer stunning views of the Surabaya skyline, Kenjeran Beach, or the Suramadu Bridge.
Aloft Surabaya Pakuwon City also participates in Marriott Bonvoy ®, the award-winning travel program from Marriott International. Members can earn and redeem points at more than 30 brands worldwide, unlocking exclusive benefits and curated experiences.
Bookings and event inquiries are now open at the hotel’s official website, www.aloftsurabayapakuwoncity.com.
