Bicester Collection Names 2025 Unlock Her Future Prize Winners
The Bicester Collection has revealed the winners of the Unlock Her Future Prize 2025 – South Asia Edition, highlighting six innovative women from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Bhutan. This initiative, part of the Collection’s philanthropic programme, DO GOOD, aims to empower women social entrepreneurs whose ideas contribute to positive social and environmental changes aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The prize, which opened to women entrepreneurs of all ages with projects at the idea or early-growth stage, seeks to bridge a significant gap: despite having the vision and ambition for impactful change, many women struggle to access the necessary recognition and resources. By merging private sector support with philanthropic efforts, the Prize provides a vital platform for women-led ventures to flourish.
Now in its third edition, the Unlock Her Future Prize was first launched in the MENA region in 2023 and expanded to Latin America in 2024. The current edition focuses on the remarkable contributions of women in South Asia. Supported by Ashoka and endorsed by UN Women, the initiative has impacted women across 39 countries, contributing solutions to 16 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and distributing over $600,000 in funding to women-led ventures.
Judges for the 2025 South Asia Edition included prominent figures such as Desirée Bollier, Chair and Global Chief Merchant at The Bicester Collection; Dr. Rubana Huq, Vice Chancellor of the Asian University for Women; and Priya Sigdel, a social entrepreneur and media personality. They selected six winners, each receiving a grant of $50,000, along with mentoring and leadership training from global experts.
Winners will also gain access to The Bicester Collection’s extensive network of partners, industry leaders, and dedicated media training. Additionally, academic support from the Saïd Business School at Oxford University will offer world-class learning opportunities and connections to a global entrepreneurial network.
Chantal Khoueiry, Chief Culture Officer at The Bicester Collection, remarked on the significance of the initiative, stating, “From 2,400 applicants to 11 exceptional finalists — and now our winners — each reminds us that behind every number is a story of courage, creativity, and the determination to build a better world.” She emphasized the importance of investing in women, which she believes is crucial for meaningful progress.
The 2025 South Asia Edition coincides with the 30th anniversary of The Bicester Collection, a milestone that underscores the organization’s commitment to reimagining shopping as a force for good.
Looking ahead, the Unlock Her Future Prize will broaden its reach in 2026 to encompass East and Southeast Asia, inviting participation from fifteen countries including Brunei, Cambodia, China, and Vietnam.
