Smashbox Unveils Photo Finish Primer at Exclusive Magic Castle Event
On October 29, 2025, Smashbox Cosmetics hosted a memorable dinner at Los Angeles’ legendary Magic Castle to celebrate the launch of its new Photo Finish Pore Vanishing Primer in Australia and New Zealand. The evening gathered a select group of Australian influencers, creators, and journalists residing in Los Angeles, aimed at enhancing brand awareness and fostering relationships within the beauty community.
The venue, known for its enchanting atmosphere, served as an ideal backdrop to showcase the primer’s transformative qualities. Guests enjoyed the whimsical setting while learning about the product’s features, emphasizing the theme of illusion and flawless skin. Notable attendees included Australian journalist Isabelle Truman and influencers Eden Kannourakis, Millie Sykes, Paige De Cinque, and Kat Moses. The founder of Smashbox, renowned photographer Davis Factor, was also present, providing each guest with a signed copy of his book, Make Shit Happen.
Celebrating Innovation and Community
Isabelle Truman expressed enthusiasm about the event, stating, “I’ve always wanted to go to the Magic Castle, and being there with such an iconic brand was the perfect match. I loved meeting Davis and the team and learning about the new primer; it was such a magical experience.” Eden Kannourakis shared her skepticism about primers but praised the new product, noting, “This one really does what it says – makes my skin and makeup look flawless!”
The dinner not only generated engaging ‘Get Ready With Me’ content on social media but also strengthened the authentic connections between Smashbox and the creator community. This event marked the first time Smashbox organized an occasion in Los Angeles specifically targeting the markets of Australia and New Zealand.
Felix Backhaus, Smashbox Senior Brand Manager of International Markets, highlighted the significance of the gathering: “Smashbox’s home is LA, and it’s been so great to engage with Australian influencers and editors in our own backyard.”
