India MedTech Expo 2025 to Showcase Innovative Healthcare Solutions

The Department of Pharmaceuticals will host the second edition of the India MedTech Expo 2025 from September 4-6, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. This three-day event aims to highlight India’s strengths and innovations in the medical technology sector. It is part of the broader Bharat Health 2025 initiative, which seeks to establish India as a leader in affordable yet precision-driven healthcare solutions.
According to the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the expo has quickly become a key platform for showcasing India’s capabilities in the medical technology and devices sector. This year’s theme, “India: Global MedTech Manufacturing Hub, Precision Engineering Yet Affordable,” reflects the nation’s commitment to advancing healthcare technology while ensuring accessibility.
The event will attract a wide range of participants, including policymakers, global business leaders, innovators, and healthcare stakeholders. Praveen Kumar Mittal, Executive Director of the Export Promotion Council for Medical Devices (EPCMD), emphasized the importance of the expo in promoting India’s growing medical devices sector. He noted that the market has reached nearly $15 billion and is projected to double to $30 billion by 2030. “India is positioning itself as a global innovation and export hub, not just a consumer market,” Mittal stated.
Event Features and Opportunities
The expo will include an extensive exhibition featuring over 350 exhibitors, showcasing products from various micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), startups, and research institutions. Participants can look forward to thematic conferences, CEO roundtables, and networking opportunities such as B2B meetings and reverse buyer-seller meets. The event is designed to facilitate collaborations across the entire med-tech value chain.
Moreover, the expo will host experience zones and state-focused sessions, providing a platform for Union and State Ministers to engage with stakeholders. The participation of over 150 international buyers from more than 30 countries presents a significant opportunity for global stakeholders to explore partnerships in India’s rapidly expanding MedTech sector.
Highlighting India’s Growth in MedTech
Key highlights of the India MedTech Expo 2025 will include the largest medical device exhibition in India, with more than 500 companies showcasing their products and services. Delegates from regions such as ASEAN, Africa, CIS, the Middle East, and Oceania will be present, underscoring the international interest in India’s burgeoning healthcare technology landscape.
The expo aims to foster innovation and align with India’s Vision 2047, which envisions a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem. By providing a collaborative platform, the India MedTech Expo seeks to facilitate the exchange of ideas and solutions that can enhance healthcare access both domestically and internationally.
In summary, the upcoming India MedTech Expo 2025 is poised to be a pivotal event in the global medical technology landscape, showcasing India’s potential as a leader in innovative healthcare solutions.
