Metis Global and CII Strengthen Partnership to Enhance Industry Skills
Metis Global Group has renewed its partnership with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in a significant move aimed at enhancing talent development, industry culture, and international knowledge exchange. This collaboration, which spans throughout 2025, includes various initiatives designed to create a cohesive professional network.
One of the key components of this partnership is the LEAD (Learning, Enhanced, and Development) Programme. In September 2025, Metis and CII jointly hosted the fourth edition of this initiative, providing 15 hours of structured professional development. The programme focused on vital areas such as professional ethics, client service, risk management, compliance awareness, and cross-disciplinary knowledge. On November 25, Dr Cheung, Founder and Chairman of Metis Global Group, attended the graduation ceremony to present certificates to participants, marking a significant milestone in their professional journey. The LEAD Programme has established itself as an essential continuing-education platform for insurance and financial planning professionals in Hong Kong, reinforcing the industry’s commitment to professionalisation.
In addition to talent development, Metis Global Group has also made strides in promoting workplace culture and diversity. The company proudly sponsored the Dive In 2025 event in Hong Kong, a global platform dedicated to advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) within the insurance industry. This year’s theme, “Together We Thrive: Building Tomorrow’s Success Through Belonging,” underscored the importance of belonging in driving corporate culture, fostering innovation, and developing talent. Metis’ participation aimed to stimulate dialogue around leadership and inclusive product innovation, contributing to a more resilient and inclusive ecosystem.
Beyond its focus on talent and culture, Metis has enhanced its role in professional discourse. The August–September issue of The Asia-Pacific Journal featured an insightful article written by a specialist from Metis Global (Cook Islands) Limited. This piece offered a practical examination of how Cook Islands trusts can facilitate multigenerational wealth succession. It emphasized the principle of “planning early to ensure intentions are fulfilled” and illustrated how trusts help families maintain asset protection alongside long-term governance. The article also highlighted the Cook Islands’ advantages regarding legal independence and cross-border applicability, extending Metis’ professional insights to a wider international audience.
Looking back at 2025, the initiatives undertaken by Metis exemplify a consistent strategic approach: leveraging professional education as a foundation, engaging in cultural advocacy, and facilitating knowledge sharing to foster multi-level professional growth. Through the LEAD Programme, the cultural initiatives of Dive In, and the global impact of its expert commentary, Metis has solidified its role as a connector across various sectors.
The company unites the insurance, wealth management, and international trust sectors to create a more integrated collaborative network. Moving forward, Metis plans to further strengthen its strategic partnership with CII, expanding cross-regional and cross-sector initiatives. The overarching goal is to enhance Asia’s global visibility and standards within the financial landscape.
With a commitment to long-term talent development, professional growth, and knowledge sharing, Metis Global Group is dedicated to shaping a sustainable, open, and inclusive international professional framework.
