Honour (Singapore) Celebrates SG60 with Gala Dinner Honoring Community Impact
Honour (Singapore) held the Honour SG60 Gala Dinner on November 26, 2025, to celebrate Singapore’s 60 years of independence and mark its own ten-year journey. The event featured Tharman Shanmugaratnam, the Guest-of-Honour and President of Singapore, who recognized the contributions of Honour (Singapore) and its mission to promote a Culture of Honour throughout the nation.
Gathering leaders from the public, private, and community sectors, the gala emphasized the core values that have underpinned Singapore’s stability and success over the past six decades. Established by Lim Siong Guan, former Head of Civil Service and President of GIC, Honour (Singapore) aims to foster trust, accountability, integrity, and mutual respect among individuals and organizations.
Highlighting a Decade of Impact
During the past ten years, Honour (Singapore) has collaborated with various partners to instill these values in families, educational institutions, businesses, and the broader community. As the organization enters its second decade, it is focusing on its renewed motto, “Making the Future,” which aims to enhance its reach and influence across various sectors.
The gala served not only as a celebration but also as a crucial fundraising platform. As a donor-funded charity, Honour (Singapore) relies on support from individuals and organizations to continue its initiatives. The evening highlighted the importance of contributions, with special recognition given to Robert Ng for sponsoring the entire event. Other generous donors were also acknowledged for their support, which has been vital to the organization’s success.
Looking Ahead: Youth and Community Initiatives
Honour (Singapore) plans to intensify its focus on youth engagement, working to cultivate a caring and gracious society capable of navigating the complexities of modern life. This commitment aligns with its broader goal of nurturing a culture of honour that sustains Singapore’s peace, progress, and resilience.
Throughout the evening, Honour (Singapore) expressed gratitude to its Founder Donors, including Far East Organization and the Stephen Riady Foundation, each of which has contributed over $1,000,000 to its efforts. Additionally, Wilmar International Limited has donated more than $500,000, showcasing the ongoing support from the business community.
The Honour SG60 Gala Dinner was a testament to the organization’s achievements and its unwavering commitment to making a lasting impact in Singapore. With a focus on community initiatives and educational programs, Honour (Singapore) is set to continue its mission of fostering a culture that enhances the nation’s future.
