Eurofragance Launches New Creative Center in Jakarta, Indonesia
Eurofragance, the Spanish multinational fragrance house, has officially opened its first Creative Center in Jakarta, Indonesia, marking a significant expansion in the Asia Pacific region. The facility, located in South Jakarta’s Arkadia Green Park, represents a substantial investment of €1 million (approximately IDR 19.27 billion). This new center aims to enhance collaboration, creativity, and innovation in one of Southeast Asia’s most rapidly growing fragrance markets.
The Indonesian fragrance industry is witnessing remarkable growth, propelled by increasing consumer sophistication and a rising demand for locally inspired scents. Industry forecasts predict that the fragrance sector in Southeast Asia will expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 3% until 2030. This positions Indonesia as a dynamic market within the region, presenting ample opportunities for Eurofragance.
Strengthening Regional Innovation
The Jakarta Creative Center joins Eurofragance’s global network, which includes facilities in Barcelona, Dubai, Mexico, India, and Singapore. Each Creative Center is designed to support the company’s mission of delivering locally inspired fragrance solutions that are backed by global expertise and technical standards. This latest addition is equipped with advanced perfumery, evaluation, and application capabilities, bringing the company’s creative and technical expertise closer to customers in Indonesia and the broader Asia Pacific region.
“Indonesia sits at the heart of Southeast Asia’s fragrance landscape, a market brimming with creativity, cultural diversity, and increasing consumer sophistication,” said Balwinder Rolley, General Manager for Asia Pacific at Eurofragance. She emphasized that establishing a creative and technical hub in Jakarta allows the company to collaborate more closely with partners, facilitating a faster transition from concepts to market-ready products that reflect local tastes.
Spanning over 770 square meters, the center operates under PT. Euronindo Fragance Internusa. It integrates Eurofragance’s proprietary technologies, including EuroCaps™ for long-lasting scent delivery and EuroPure™ for odor neutralization. These innovations provide brand partners with high-performance, scientifically advanced solutions that enhance product quality and consumer experience across various categories, including beauty, home, and personal care.
Commitment to Sustainability and Local Talent
In alignment with Eurofragance’s commitment to sustainable innovation, the Jakarta facility adopts eco-conscious practices throughout its operations, from sourcing renewable raw materials to implementing energy-efficient processes. Beyond its role in scent creation, the center will also serve as a training and talent hub, focusing on recruitment and skills development within Indonesia’s growing fragrance industry.
The multidisciplinary team at the center comprises perfumers, evaluators, and application experts, who work alongside marketing and sales specialists to translate consumer insights into unique scent solutions. According to Edy Chandra, Country Manager for Eurofragance Indonesia, “Jakarta is a natural choice for our expansion. It’s where trends begin and evolve. Having a Creative Center here allows us to immerse ourselves in Indonesian culture and craft scents that are not only high-quality but also truly meaningful to local consumers.”
The opening of the Jakarta Creative Center follows the establishment of Eurofragance Indonesia in 2023 and builds on other regional milestones, including the launch of Creative Centers in Mumbai in 2024 and Singapore in 2016. These developments illustrate the company’s ongoing commitment to the Asia Pacific region and its ambition to grow through innovation and local insights.
Founded in 1990 in Barcelona, Eurofragance specializes in manufacturing and marketing high-quality fragrances for global brands across various sectors. With over 550 employees worldwide, the company has expanded its presence beyond Europe and the Middle East into the Far East and the Americas. Eurofragance operates its own manufacturing facilities in Spain, Singapore, and Mexico, while collaborating with partners in China and India, thus ensuring its ability to deliver fragrances globally.
As Eurofragance continues to invest in its network and capabilities, the Jakarta Creative Center stands as a testament to its dedication to addressing sustainability issues and fostering innovation in the fragrance industry.
