Manulife and JUST FEEL Launch Hong Kong’s First “My Flag Day”

On October 18, 2025, Manulife Hong Kong and the non-governmental organization JUST FEEL launched the city’s inaugural “My Flag Day.” The initiative brought together 500 family volunteers to distribute over 10,000 flags to the public, each flag representing various emotions. Participants selected flags that illustrated six distinct emotions: “happy,” “warm,” “excited,” “sad,” “angry,” and “scared.” Designed by local primary school students, these flags served as visual representations of emotions, fostering conversations about feelings that are often left unspoken. By wearing these flags, individuals engaged in meaningful dialogues, promoting mutual understanding and care within the community.

This collaboration aims to enhance emotional education among students and create a “Compassionate School Culture.” According to Celia Ling, Chief Marketing Officer of Manulife Hong Kong and Macau, the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to mental wellness. She stated, “Creating space for people to openly express and embrace all feelings is key to building a healthier, more resilient society.”
