Hermès Showcases Spring/Summer 2026 Collection at Paris Fashion Week

Hermès unveiled its spring/summer 2026 collection during Paris Fashion Week on October 4, 2023, presenting a striking array of garments designed by Nadege Vanhee. The show featured a variety of pieces including brassiere tops, quilted silk coats, and racer-backed dresses, all set against a unique sandy backdrop that created an immersive atmosphere for attendees.
As guests entered the venue, they were greeted by benches lining the beige space, while the floor was covered in sand and fragments of broken shells. The setting complemented the collection’s sandy colour palette, which included muted beiges and khakis. Models showcased the designs in tall riding boots, their silky ponytails swaying as they walked. The outfits featured snug leather straps and delicate lacework, with racerback styles that elegantly exposed the shoulder blades.
Among the highlights were leather bra tops that held luxurious silk fabric in place, ensuring coverage while maintaining a chic aesthetic. The collection also incorporated vibrant pops of colour, such as a striking red leather trouser set, a matching handbag, and motifs on scarves.
Despite the ongoing challenges facing the luxury sector, including a prolonged downturn impacting major brands like LVMH, Kering, and Chanel, Hermès continues to outperform its rivals. Many brands, including Dior, Gucci, and others, have recently appointed new designers in an attempt to revitalize sales. In contrast, Vanhee has maintained her role as head of womenswear designs at Hermès for over a decade, consistently delivering innovative and captivating collections.
Paris Fashion Week, which runs through October 7, 2023, features other prominent labels, such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel, Saint Laurent, and Loewe. The event serves as a crucial platform for showcasing the latest trends and designs, as well as an opportunity for brands to engage with a global audience. Hermès’ latest collection stands as a testament to the brand’s enduring legacy and commitment to craftsmanship, even in challenging times for the fashion industry.
