Design leads from brands like Joe Fresh, Spirit Halloween, and New Balance recounted their journeys in implementing 3D processes.

Paige Regan, 3D CLO Design Manager at Spirit Halloween, expressed the value of these exchanges: “It’s just really nice to hear what other companies are using CLO for, where their wins are and where they’ve pivoted.” Regan emphasized the benefits of learning from industry veterans, stating it significantly aids in decision-making for newer companies.

Engaging the Broader Community

The summit also showcased the diversity of CLO’s user base by spotlighting independent designers and educators. Discussions focused on how institutions prepare students for careers in fashion, while freelancers shared insights on how CLO has expanded their creative horizons.

CLO Virtual Fashion conducted live demonstrations of new tools, including the zFab Kit and an upgraded 3D Pen Tool. Attendees participated in hands-on workshops that integrated these features into their workflows. Katie Beaton, Senior Manager for Technical Design at Joe Fresh, praised CLO for its responsiveness to user feedback, stating, “The amount of updates that come through from feedback is amazing.”

The event concluded with an Expo and Happy Hour, allowing attendees to connect with CLO experts, suppliers, and peers. Guests enjoyed interactive activities, including the popular “CLOw Machine” and a “CLOlympics” competition, as well as a photo booth that allowed them to embody a CLO avatar.

Simon Kim, CEO of CLO Virtual Fashion, articulated the summit’s purpose: “We created CLO Summit to be a platform for our users to connect, exchange ideas, challenge perspectives, and inspire one another.” He underscored the summit’s goal of shaping the future of the apparel industry collaboratively.
