Tamarind Health Expands Network as Asia’s Integrated Oncology Leader

Tamarind Health has officially advanced to a new phase in its expansion strategy as Asia’s foremost integrated oncology-focused healthcare platform. This development follows the successful acquisition of TalkMED in September 2025. The company is committed to enhancing cancer care by consolidating leading medical practices under one umbrella, focused on the principle of prioritizing patient needs.
Strengthening Cancer Care Across Asia
Founded by prominent specialists, including Dr. Miah Hiang Tay and Dr. Peter Ang from OncoCare Singapore, Tamarind Health aims to set a new benchmark for oncology care. With the addition of TalkMED, led by Dr. Peng Tiam Ang, the organization is reinforcing its commitment to improving cancer care standards across the region.
The network now encompasses 36 outpatient and hospital-based centres located in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Mainland China. The combined practices, which include OncoCare, TalkMED, Solis, and Novena Heart Centre, among others, facilitate over 180,000 patient visits annually, supported by a dedicated team of more than 500 doctors and healthcare professionals.
A Collaborative Approach to Oncology
Tamarind Health was established to address the growing need for cohesive cancer care in a region witnessing a sharp rise in cancer cases. The platform integrates renowned specialists and their practices, focusing on a comprehensive approach that includes advanced diagnostics, innovative therapies, and personalized survivorship support. This model aims to ensure that patients receive both medical treatment and emotional support.
A distinctive feature of Tamarind Health is its focus on collaboration among physicians. This synergy allows for knowledge-sharing, enabling doctors to form multidisciplinary teams that enhance care delivery. The emphasis on sub-specialization helps provide patients with tailored treatments in an environment increasingly defined by personalized medicine.
“From the start, our goal has been to keep making progress in the fight against cancer – step by step, patient by patient,” said Dr. Miah Hiang Tay. “Tamarind Health now gives us the platform to do that together, on a much larger scale.”
Dr. Peter Ang added that as oncology evolves, collaboration among disciplines is essential for high-quality care. “The development of sub-specialty groups under one platform creates the right environment for clinical collaboration and continuous learning,” he noted, emphasizing the importance of improving patient outcomes.
According to Dr. Peng Tiam Ang, Tamarind Health enables healthcare providers to extend their reach and maintain consistent standards across multiple locations. “Our patients and their families come to us for understanding of their disease, confidence, and care they can trust,” he stated, highlighting the organization’s commitment to excellence.
With the founders retaining equity and serving on the Board, the focus remains firmly on patient care and maintaining high clinical standards. As Tamarind Health continues to grow, it aims to redefine cancer care across Asia, addressing the pressing challenges of a fragmented healthcare landscape.
Conclusion
As it forges ahead, Tamarind Health is positioning itself as a transformative force in oncology, striving to elevate care standards and improve patient outcomes across six major markets: Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Mainland China. With a vision of setting new healthcare standards, Tamarind Health is committed to shaping the future of oncology in the region.
