Adult film actress Tia Billinger, known professionally as Bonnie Blue, is set to be deported from Indonesia following an immigration violation. Although she was cleared of breaking the country’s strict anti-pornography laws, she was found guilty of a minor traffic offence. The 26-year-old was among 34 individuals detained during a police raid on a production studio in Bali, a popular tourist destination.

The Indonesian authorities took action against Billinger for allegedly working on a tourist visa, which is prohibited under local laws. Bali, which is predominantly Hindu, is part of the Muslim-majority nation of Indonesia, where the production of pornographic material is illegal. Violators can face severe penalties, including up to 12 years in prison and fines reaching $360,000 (£270,000). In her case, Billinger was ordered to pay a fine of Rp 200,000 (approximately $12/£9) before her departure.

Police Investigation and Legal Proceedings

Billinger’s deportation follows a police investigation initiated after the raid, which took place in the Pererenan area of Mengwi. According to Badung Police, 16 foreign witnesses and 14 Indonesian nationals stated they were present in the studio for the production of what was described as an “entertainment-themed reality show.” They asserted that no indecent material was produced during the filming.

Despite these claims, police identified Billinger and three others as having “dominant roles” in the production. Investigators are also examining the purchase of a pickup truck emblazoned with the names “Bonnie Blue” and “Bang Bus.” While police reported that the four identified individuals acknowledged their awareness of Indonesia’s ban on pornographic content, they are suspected of misusing their stay permits to produce commercial content.

Police Chief M. Arif Batubara emphasized the commitment to ensuring that all legal processes are followed and that they are collaborating with prosecutors and immigration authorities to determine the appropriate next steps.

Background and Controversial Content

Billinger, originally from Nottingham, has gained attention for her controversial content, which includes videos featuring her touring universities while seeking out “barely legal” teenagers in a bus with the same name. Recently, she had been driving around Bali during “schoolies week,” a tradition in Australia where high school graduates celebrate after their exams.

Last year, she had plans to produce pornographic content involving young adults. However, those plans were thwarted when her Australian tourist visa was cancelled. The latest developments in her case highlight the complex intersection of local laws and the actions of foreign nationals in Indonesia.

Immigration officials have indicated they will issue a statement regarding whether Billinger will be blacklisted from returning to the country. Her flight is scheduled to depart just after midnight local time. As the situation unfolds, it underscores the stringent regulations governing the entertainment industry in regions where cultural norms and legal frameworks diverge significantly.
