Chiron Medical Launches Campaign to Boost Breast Cancer Awareness
Chiron Medical has initiated its “Early Check, Early Hope” campaign, aiming to raise awareness about breast cancer in Hong Kong during International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This initiative highlights the importance of early detection in improving treatment success rates, as approximately one in every 14 women in Hong Kong faces a breast cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, according to government statistics.
The campaign commenced on October 13, 2025, coinciding with International Pink Day. Chiron Medical encourages all employees to don pink attire and wear pink ribbon pins to show support for breast cancer patients and enhance public understanding of the disease.
Pink Kit and Health Screenings
To further the cause, Chiron Medical has introduced a Pink Kit designed to integrate care and support into daily routines. Each kit contains essential breast health information, ensuring women remain informed about their health and breast cancer awareness. Women who participate in a self-paid 3D mammography during October or visit Chiron Medical on Pink Day will receive a Pink Kit as part of the campaign.
Additionally, Chiron Medical is advancing its commitment to healthcare equity with the continuation of its “1:1 Breast Health Empowerment Charity Campaign.” This campaign, which began earlier this year, aims to provide 300 free 3D mammography screenings and medical consultations for underserved women this October. By having women pay for a 3D mammography at FemWell, Chiron Medical can sponsor a low-income woman for a free breast cancer screening. This effort is conducted in collaboration with non-profit organizations, including the Caritas Mutual Aid Centre for Single Parent Families and the Hong Kong Federation of Women’s Centres, ensuring that more women receive timely medical attention.
Collaborations for Greater Impact
The “Early Check, Early Hope” campaign will also engage various sectors, beginning with health talks for employees of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Pfizer Hong Kong. These discussions will cover breast health, daily self-examination techniques, and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. Chiron Medical believes that collective efforts can significantly enhance women’s health awareness.
Chiron Medical remains committed to working with like-minded organizations to promote diverse health activities, encouraging the public to improve their health knowledge and advocate for early prevention and treatment. The campaign also includes a limited-time Regular Breast Health Check-up offer, intended to further educate women on the importance of regular screenings.
