Rockefeller Foundation to Host AsiaXchange 2025 in Jakarta

The Rockefeller Foundation will convene AsiaXchange 2025 in Jakarta, Indonesia, from October 6 to 8, 2025. This significant gathering will unite global and regional leaders, including policymakers, business executives, philanthropists, and community leaders. The theme for this year’s event is ‘From Solutions to Scale,’ emphasizing the need to uplift underserved communities across Asia.
The three-day conference will combine in-person discussions in Jakarta with virtual participation, aiming to address the pressing challenges faced by the region. Asia, currently home to some of the world’s fastest-growing economies, also grapples with stark disparities, including urbanization pressures and climate vulnerability. The event seeks to ensure that proven solutions to these challenges are not only recognized but also scaled effectively across various sectors.
Addressing Urgent Challenges
AsiaXchange 2025 aims to foster deeper collaboration among leaders to confront ongoing issues that threaten equitable growth. As the region experiences rapid demographic changes and geopolitical shifts, the foundation intends to highlight the critical need for action. “At The Rockefeller Foundation, we believe in the power of collaboration to transform systems and deliver impact at scale,” stated Elizabeth Yee, Executive Vice President of Programs at the foundation. “AsiaXchange 2025 is about taking proven solutions to scaled impact—demonstrating how collective impact across borders can grow bold ideas and shape a more inclusive and sustainable future for all.”
The agenda will showcase innovative models that translate ambition into action. Discussions will cover various topics, including advancements in renewable energy, digital infrastructure, regenerative agriculture, health systems, and development finance. The event will also explore how Asia can leverage its own resources, including sovereign funds and philanthropic capital, to finance innovative development solutions.
Building on Past Successes
“Asia is at the heart of the world’s growth story, but the region still must address persistent disparities in opportunity, access, and outcomes,” noted Deepali Khanna, Senior Vice President and Head of Asia at the Rockefeller Foundation. “AsiaXchange 2025 is focused on progress. It is a critical platform to bring Asia’s leadership, ideas, and capital together to advance progress that is locally grounded and globally relevant.”
This year’s event builds on the successes of previous AsiaXchange gatherings held in New Delhi in 2023 and Bangkok in 2024. The Rockefeller Foundation continues its commitment to uplifting underserved communities and fostering sustainable futures across Asia and beyond. AsiaXchange 2025 is not just a platform for exchanging ideas; it aims to generate actionable commitments from governments, investors, and innovators to implement scaled programs that will benefit millions throughout the region.
