Munsang College Celebrates 100 Years with Grand Ceremony
HONG KONG, September 11, 2025 — Munsang College celebrated its centenary with a grand Centenary School Year Commencement Ceremony on campus, gathering over 900 attendees, including teachers, students, parents, alumni, and distinguished guests. The event aimed to honor the school’s long-standing educational legacy while looking towards future innovations in learning.
A Century of Educational Excellence
Founded in 1926, Munsang College has upheld its mottos, “One for All, All for One” and “Light and Life,” emphasizing holistic education. The Centenary Commencement marks a significant milestone for the institution, highlighting its commitment to integrating technology, fostering innovative educational practices, and nurturing the next generation of leaders.
Among the esteemed guests were Dr. Choi Yuk-lin, the Secretary for Education, and Dr. Alice Yuk Tak Fun, School Supervisor. Dr. Choi addressed the audience, underscoring the Education Bureau’s (EDB) focus on values education as a foundation for well-rounded development. She emphasized the importance of national identity and law-abidingness, integrating these concepts into the broader framework of education.
Commitment to Holistic Development
Dr. Choi commended Munsang College for its active role in promoting mental health on campus. The school has engaged with the EDB’s 4Rs Mental Health Charter, which emphasizes rest, relaxation, relationships, and resilience, aimed at enhancing mental health awareness among the school community.
In her address, she praised the school for encouraging students to pursue not only academic excellence but also diverse learning experiences and community service. This approach aligns closely with the EDB’s vision for comprehensive student development.
Looking ahead, Munsang College aims to deepen students’ civic awareness and cultivate talents with international competitiveness. The school plans to remain rooted in the community while promoting sustainable educational models that contribute positively to society. The administration called for support and participation from all sectors to help create a brighter future.
To commemorate its 100th anniversary, Munsang College will host a series of engaging events, including a Pixel Art Collective Photo, educational forums, open days, musical performances, and a gala dinner. Further details regarding these celebrations will be announced in due course.
