Munsang College Celebrates 100 Years with Centenary Ceremony

On September 11, 2025, Munsang College in Hong Kong celebrated its centenary with a grand Centenary School Year Commencement Ceremony. The event attracted over 900 attendees, including teachers, students, parents, alumni, and distinguished guests, marking a significant milestone in the school’s history.

Founded in 1926, Munsang College has maintained its commitment to holistic education, guided by its mottos “One for All, All for One” and “Light and Life.” The centenary ceremony highlighted the school’s dedication to nurturing talent while embracing innovative education, technology integration, and a global perspective. The ceremony featured notable guests, including Dr. Choi Yuk-lin, JP, Secretary for Education, and Dr. Alice Yuk Tak Fun, BBS, JP, the school supervisor. In her address, Dr. Choi emphasized the importance of values education as a foundation for whole-person development, mentioning the integration of national identity and law-abiding principles into the curriculum.

Dr. Choi praised Munsang College for its initiatives such as Chinese Culture Week and student exchange programs with sister schools on the Mainland. These activities aim to enhance students’ understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture and heritage. Furthermore, she commended the school’s efforts to promote mental health, highlighting its participation in the Education Bureau’s 4Rs Mental Health Charter, which focuses on rest, relaxation, relationships, and resilience.
