Release of ‘Sahakutumbaanaam’ Delayed Again to January 2024
The release of the family drama film ‘Sahakutumbaanaam’, directed by Uday Sharma and featuring actors Raam Kiran and Megha Akash, has been postponed once more, now set for January 2024. The announcement was made by the production company, HNG Cinemas, on December 18, just one day before the film was originally scheduled to premiere.
Initially, ‘Sahakutumbaanaam’ was slated for a December 12 release. However, the filmmakers decided to move the date to December 19 in respect of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film ‘Akhanda 2’, which was also set to debut on the same day. In a statement, HNG Cinemas expressed admiration for Balakrishna, stating, “We want his film to roar, dominate, and create unstoppable mass celebrations.” The company emphasized their respect and goodwill towards Balakrishna’s work, prompting the initial delay.
Despite the previous change, the latest postponement is attributed to a lack of adequate theatre availability. HNG Cinemas communicated on their social media platform, stating, “A little more wait, a lot more love. #Sahakutumbaanam arriving this January. The wait will be worth it.”
In their official announcement, the production house explained, “Due to unforeseen theatre-related issues, the release of ‘Sahakutumbaanaam’ has been postponed to January. At present, we are receiving very limited theatre availability, and we believe it’s important to release the film in the right manner so it can reach the audience it truly deserves.” They concluded by thanking fans for their continued love and support, promising that a new release date would be announced soon.
The situation highlights the complexities of film scheduling in a competitive market, particularly when multiple high-profile releases coincide. As anticipation builds for ‘Sahakutumbaanaam’, audiences will have to wait a little longer to enjoy the film, which aims to capture the essence of family and community.
