Fire from Bus Collision Claims 20 Lives in Southern India

A tragic bus collision in southern India has resulted in the deaths of at least 20 individuals. The incident occurred when a private bus collided with a motorcycle, leading to a fire caused by a fuel leak. A Siri, a district revenue official, provided further details to the news agency ANI. “Of the 41 passengers, 21 have been rescued,” Siri stated. “Among the remaining, the bodies of 11 individuals have been identified so far.” The situation remains critical as rescue operations continue to recover any additional victims.

The incident is reminiscent of a similar tragedy last month in the western desert state of Rajasthan, where a private bus caught fire, resulting in the deaths of 19 people. Such occurrences highlight ongoing concerns about road safety and the need for improved regulations in the transport sector.
