Thomas Frank Aims to Revitalize Tottenham Hotspur’s Season
Manager Thomas Frank expressed confidence in his ability to lead Tottenham Hotspur out of their current struggles in the Premier League. As the team sits in 14th place with only one win from their last eight league matches, Frank believes his previous successes at other clubs demonstrate his potential to turn the situation around. The club is preparing for a crucial match against ninth-placed Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Frank, who joined Spurs in June, highlighted his track record of overcoming slow starts. “At Brøndby, I didn’t win the first eight games and then we were unbeaten in nine,” he noted during a press conference. He also referenced his time at Brentford, where the team lost eight out of ten games, followed by a stretch of ten games without defeat.
The 52-year-old manager emphasized his belief that a similar turnaround is possible at Tottenham. “I’m not in doubt of that because I know how to make a competitive team,” Frank stated. “We will make a very competitive team here, as well.”
Reflecting on the challenges he faces, Frank acknowledged that he has devoted significant time to analyzing the team’s performance. “The good thing is I’ve always been a good sleeper, so that’s helpful,” he remarked. “But of course, you can feel that the thoughts are just underneath you.”
He shared insights into his management approach, admitting that navigating setbacks is a normal part of a coaching career. “When you get small setbacks and don’t get the right response, you try something new or you stick to it,” he explained. “It’s not the first time in my career I haven’t found the team instantly, but it’s coming over time. I know it will come, probably sooner rather than later.”
Frank’s determination to instill a competitive spirit within the squad reflects his optimism as he prepares for the upcoming match. With the Premier League season progressing, Tottenham fans are hopeful that Frank’s strategies will lead to improved performances and results on the pitch.
