TCL Mobile Secures IFA Innovation Award 2025 for Eye-Care Tech

TCL Mobile has earned significant recognition at the IFA Innovation Award 2025, winning in the category of Best in Tech for Good for its innovative TCL NXTPAPER 60 Ultra smartphone. Additionally, the company received an Honoree designation for the TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus tablet in the same category. This announcement was made on September 6, 2025, at the prestigious technology exhibition held in Berlin.
The IFA Innovation Awards, established as the official awards program by IFA, are judged by an independent international panel dedicated to celebrating advancements in design and engineering. Since its inception in 2021, the TCL NXTPAPER line has garnered positive feedback, showcasing TCL’s commitment to creating products that prioritize user well-being.
The TCL NXTPAPER 60 Ultra stands out as the first NXTPAPER 4.0 smartphone, integrating seven core eye-care technologies aimed at enhancing comfort during prolonged use. Rather than addressing digital eye strain as a singular issue, TCL adopts a holistic and human-centric approach. The technology combines hardware and software solutions to offer features such as low blue light, anti-glare and reflection-free displays, zero flickering, dim-light eye protection, and a natural paper-like experience.
Certified by leading organizations including TÜV Rheinland and SGS, the NXTPAPER 60 Ultra is touted as the most comprehensive eye-care smartphone in the industry. The device not only caters to reading but also extends the paper-like experience to writing. Its Max Ink Mode blocks notifications from multiple applications, allowing users to read without distractions and immerse themselves in a digital detox experience.
To facilitate creative tasks, the smartphone includes an electromagnetic stylus that enables low-latency, paper-like writing. This is further enhanced by powerful AI tools designed to streamline the creative process. The NXTPAPER 60 Ultra also features a flagship periscope telephoto camera system, complemented by TCL’s MuseFilm imaging technology, which allows users to tell their stories through expressive photography.
The TCL NXTPAPER 11 Plus, recognized as the first AI tablet with NXTPAPER 4.0, also received an Honorable Mention in the Best in Tech for Good category. It follows the same philosophy as the smartphone, optimizing eye comfort through features such as Personalized Eye Comfort Mode and Smart Eye Comfort Mode, which intelligently adjust the viewing experience based on user preferences.
Both products reflect TCL Mobile’s growing reputation for innovation in eye-care technology and showcase the company’s vision for the future of digital displays. As TCL continues to develop eye-care display technologies, it aims to enhance digital well-being for users worldwide.
