Police Investigate Video of Assault at Singapore Management University

Authorities in Singapore are investigating an incident that occurred on September 30, 2023, at the Singapore Management University (SMU), following the circulation of a video depicting a violent altercation between two women. The footage, which has gained traction on social media, shows a woman in a pink hoodie kicking another woman who is lying on the ground.
The 22-second clip captures the moment of the assault, along with several bystanders moving towards the woman on the ground to offer assistance after the assailant walked away. This disturbing incident prompted the Singapore Police Force to respond to a call for help at approximately 14:10 local time.

According to the Singapore Police Force, the altercation took place at 40 Stamford Road, the address of the SMU Connexion building. Following the incident, both women involved in the altercation, aged 61 and 21, are currently assisting with the investigation. They are being questioned under allegations of voluntarily causing hurt and using criminal force.
The 61-year-old woman was conscious when transported to a hospital for evaluation and treatment, highlighting the seriousness of the situation. Police officials have confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and they are working to gather more details about the events that transpired.
