Hithium Unveils AI Data Center Energy Storage Solutions at RE+ 2025

Hithium, a prominent global provider of integrated energy storage products, launched its latest AI data center energy storage solution at the RE+ 2025 conference in Las Vegas on September 10, 2025. The new offerings include the innovative ∞Power 6.25MWh long-duration battery energy storage system (BESS) designed for 8-hour applications, and the ∞Power N2.28MWh BESS, which functions on a sodium-ion basis for 1-hour energy needs. This development aims to enhance the efficiency of data centers while facilitating a transition towards renewable energy sources.
Addressing the Energy Demands of AI Data Centers
In the context of growing reliance on artificial intelligence, data centers face increasing pressure to optimize energy use while maintaining operational efficiency. The integration of renewable energy is crucial for reducing costs and emissions, yet the inherent variability of these energy sources complicates power stability. Hithium’s solutions offer essential long-duration storage capabilities, addressing the millisecond-level load fluctuations that can impact computing performance.
Many existing energy storage systems lack the specificity required for AI data centers, often relying on generalized models. In contrast, Hithium’s tailored AIDC (AI Data Center) energy storage solution provides performance and reliability designed for the unique demands of modern data centers.
Innovative Technologies for Reliable Energy Supply
The combination of the ∞Power 6.25MWh 8h BESS and the ∞Power N2.28MWh 1h BESS positions Hithium’s technology as a comprehensive solution for data center operators. The 8-hour system serves as a backbone for sustained energy supply, while the sodium-ion solution adeptly manages sudden power surges.
Hithium’s dedicated lifespan assessment model for AIDC ESS offers detailed degradation insights, ensuring a longer and more reliable operational lifespan under dynamic workloads. This capability is crucial in enhancing renewable energy utilization and reducing the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE), ultimately improving the overall efficiency and quality of power supplied to AI applications.
Kush Sutaria, Senior Manager of Application Engineering at Hithium, emphasized the importance of customer-focused design: “The ∞Power 6.25MWh 8h BESS reduces auxiliary consumption and maximizes long-duration efficiency, while the ∞Power N2.28MWh 1h BESS delivers 20,000 cycles and stable performance even under millisecond-level load fluctuations.”
Hithium’s commitment extends beyond product development. The company ensures that AI data centers benefit from integrated manufacturing and localized services. With a fully operational factory in Texas capable of producing 10GWh, alongside a network of over 100 engineers and regional warehouses, Hithium can deploy solutions quickly and efficiently. Their “Local for Local” strategy further supports rapid and sustainable deployment in North America and beyond.
In the first half of 2025, Hithium secured a position as a top provider in global energy storage battery shipments. The introduction of the AIDC ESS solutions marks a significant step in Hithium’s mission to customize energy storage applications across various sectors, supporting the shift towards clean energy and sustainability. This initiative not only addresses the immediate needs of AI data centers but also paves the way for future innovations in energy storage technology.
