A deadly explosion at a steel factory in Baotou City, located in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of northern China, resulted in two fatalities and left 66 individuals injured on January 18, 2024. Residents living several kilometers away reported that the explosion shook their homes and shattered windows, highlighting the blast’s intensity. Videos captured the moment of the explosion, with debris, including a large cylindrical piece of metal, being propelled into the air as smoke enveloped the area.
