United Imaging Intelligence Unveils AI Innovations at RSNA 2025
At the RSNA 2025 conference, held in Shanghai on December 12, United Imaging Intelligence (UII) showcased groundbreaking advancements in medical imaging powered by artificial intelligence (AI). Under the theme “Imaging the Individual,” the event called upon the radiology community to innovate and bridge the gap between personalized healthcare and global health disparities. UII framed its presentation around a provocative question: “Agent Radiologist: Are We There Yet?”
Attendees were introduced to the uAI Insight, a next-generation Imaging-to-Report AI agent making its North American debut. Drawing significant interest from healthcare professionals worldwide, uAI Insight illustrated how AI can enhance diagnostic workflows by integrating clinical reasoning directly into reporting. This system, powered by UII’s multimodal large models that combine language, vision, and speech, accurately identifies complex patterns, correlates key findings, and generates structured reports with remarkable clarity.
One of the standout features of uAI Insight is its uAI Agent for Chest CT Reporting, which can detect up to 73 thoracic diseases from a single scan, achieving an impressive average area under the curve (AUC) of 95%. Similarly, the uAI Agent for Brain MRI Reporting successfully identifies 47 neurological conditions from a single image. These advancements signal a significant shift in medical AI, moving from simple task automation to fostering intelligent collaborations between humans and AI.
Revolutionizing Patient Experience with AI
RSNA 2025 also marked the introduction of the uAI Agent for Ultrasound, an embodied AI robotic-arm system that integrates autonomous scanning with AI-assisted diagnosis. This innovative agent interprets visual, tactile, and pressure cues in real time, allowing it to adjust the probe’s position and force with exceptional precision. This capability results in a more compassionate and tailored patient experience.
At UII’s booth, visitors witnessed how AI agents collaborated throughout the clinical workflow. The uAI Avatar, an intelligent medical assistant, guided participants through a comprehensive pre-diagnosis journey using natural conversation. Meanwhile, the uAI Agent for Hospital Management effectively monitored imaging and reporting quality and evaluated equipment performance, transforming complex operational data into actionable insights. These AI agents demonstrated their potential across various domains, including diagnostic imaging, surgical care, patient services, and clinical research.
Envisioning the Future: The Digitelligent Hospital
Expanding on these AI-driven interactions, UII introduced the concept of the “Digitelligent Hospital.” This vision is underpinned by UII’s sophisticated multimodal large models, which have been developed through years of clinical collaboration. The Digitelligent Hospital aims to create an ecosystem where digital and intelligent technologies reshape healthcare infrastructure, software, and operations.
These advanced models enable AI agents to analyze, reason, and make informed decisions. In this setting, embodied AI facilitates real-world tasks and enhances natural human interactions. The goal is to create a hospital environment that continuously learns, adapts, and evolves, enhancing patient care at every stage.
RSNA 2025 highlighted a transformative shift in medical AI, emphasizing the movement beyond traditional algorithms towards collaborative, autonomous AI agents that respond, adapt, and connect with healthcare providers. UII’s rapidly expanding ecosystem positions the company as a leader in the ongoing push towards a more intelligent, virtualized, comprehensive, and personalized healthcare future.
