United Imaging Intelligence Unveils AI Innovations at RSNA 2025
At the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2025, held on December 12, 2025, in Shanghai, United Imaging Intelligence (UII) introduced a new era of medical imaging powered by artificial intelligence. Under the theme “Imaging the Individual,” the event challenged radiology professionals to bridge the gap between personalized healthcare and global disparities. UII posed a pivotal question to attendees: “Agent Radiologist: Are We There Yet?” This inquiry served as a platform to showcase advanced AI agents designed to enhance diagnostic capabilities and improve patient care.
One of the highlights was the debut of uAI Insight, a next-generation Imaging-to-Report AI agent making its first appearance in North America. This innovative system drew significant attention as it demonstrated how AI can streamline diagnostic workflows by integrating clinical reasoning into reporting processes. UII’s multimodal large models enable the system to recognize intricate patterns, correlate critical findings, and generate structured reports with remarkable clarity.
Moreover, the uAI Agent for Chest CT Reporting showed its capability by detecting 73 thoracic diseases from a single scan, achieving an average area under the curve (AUC) of 95%. Similarly, the uAI Agent for Brain MRI Reporting successfully identified 47 neurological conditions from one scan. These advancements signify a shift in medical AI, moving from mere task automation to fostering intelligent partnerships between humans and AI.
AI Agents Transforming Clinical Workflow
At RSNA 2025, UII also introduced the uAI Agent for Ultrasound, an embodied AI robotic-arm system that revolutionizes the ultrasound scanning process. This advanced technology integrates autonomous scanning with AI-assisted diagnosis, interpreting visual, tactile, and pressure cues in real time to provide a more personalized patient experience. The agent meticulously adjusts probe position and force, ensuring a gentler interaction during examinations.
Visitors to UII’s booth witnessed how AI agents collaborate seamlessly throughout the clinical workflow. The uAI Avatar, an intelligent medical assistant, guided attendees through a comprehensive pre-diagnosis journey using conversational interactions. Concurrently, the uAI Agent for Hospital Management monitored imaging and reporting quality, evaluated equipment performance, and transformed complex operational data into actionable insights. These innovations demonstrate UII’s commitment to enhancing patient care at every stage of the healthcare journey.
Envisioning the Digitelligent Hospital
UII also unveiled the concept of the “Digitelligent Hospital,” an integrated ecosystem that utilizes its multimodal medical large models. This vision, developed through years of clinical collaboration and supported by United Imaging’s extensive technology portfolio, reflects a future where digital and intelligent technologies reshape healthcare infrastructure, software, and operations. The models empower AI agents to analyze and make informed decisions while bringing that intelligence into real-world applications and interactions.
The outcome is a hospital environment that continuously learns, adapts, and evolves across all phases of patient care. RSNA 2025 highlighted a critical transition in medical AI, showcasing a movement toward collaborative, autonomous AI agents that can respond to patient needs with greater adaptability and connection.
As UII expands its ecosystem of AI-driven solutions, it is leading the charge toward a more intelligent, virtualized, and personalized era of healthcare. The products and features presented may not be available in all countries, and future availability is not guaranteed. Additionally, not all AI applications shown are CE-marked or FDA-cleared, underscoring the evolving nature of this technology.
