UNISOC Launches Global “ChipFire” Program to Inspire Young Innovators
UNISOC has unveiled the “ChipFire” classroom initiative, a global science education program aimed at enhancing young people’s engagement with technology. Announced on November 7, 2025, in Shanghai, this program seeks to captivate students and teachers alike through interactive experiences centered around chips and 5G technology. To date, over 10,000 teachers and students have participated in this initiative, exploring the potential of innovation in a hands-on environment.
The company, recognized for its commitment to sustainable and responsible technology, is guided by Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. UNISOC promotes low-carbon development and digital inclusivity, striving to create a greener and fairer future.
Sustainable Technology Initiatives
As the demand for intelligent systems increases, so does the pressure on energy consumption and the environment. UNISOC asserts that technology should balance performance with environmental respect. The company’s advancements in chip technology demonstrate this philosophy. In the past year, UNISOC chips have supported billions of shared bicycles, contributing to a reduction of more than 900,000 tons of carbon emissions. Additionally, their 5G chip has achieved a 40% reduction in core power consumption, eliminating approximately 816,000 tons of CO2 annually—significantly lower than the industry average.
In applications involving the Internet of Things (IoT), their high-efficiency chips have helped partners optimize power usage, resulting in a further reduction of about 310,000 tons of carbon emissions across various global industries. Looking forward, UNISOC aims to continue leveraging technology to pave the way for a cleaner, more sustainable future.
Bridging the Digital Divide
Despite the rapid evolution of technology, an estimated three billion people worldwide remain disconnected from the digital landscape. UNISOC believes that innovation should not only advance technological capabilities but also broaden access for a greater number of individuals. The company’s products reach over 140 countries, with one in eight smartphones and one in four cellular IoT devices globally powered by UNISOC technology.
UNISOC’s commitment extends beyond mere connectivity; it also emphasizes the importance of inclusivity. The company has developed senior-friendly smartphones and health-monitoring devices, enabling tens of millions of elderly individuals to engage in digital life. Furthermore, UNISOC’s involvement in the children’s smart wearables market has helped protect over 100 million children globally, ensuring their safety through innovative technology. The “ChipFire” classroom program also aims to foster a new generation of innovators, providing young people with firsthand experiences in science and technology.
The accessibility of smart payment solutions through UNISOC-enabled point-of-sale terminals has empowered small businesses, facilitating economic growth in communities around the world. The company’s vision is to create a world where innovation is not limited by geographical boundaries, enabling connections that enhance the quality of life for everyone.
Commitment to Trust and Transparency
In an era where technology is evolving rapidly, UNISOC emphasizes the necessity of trust in innovation. The company believes that responsible operations and adherence to low-carbon practices are critical to building this trust. By integrating ESG principles into its corporate strategy and day-to-day operations, UNISOC ensures that technological advancements are grounded in transparency and accountability.
UNISOC adheres to the ISO 14064 greenhouse gas verification standard and utilizes a carbon emissions management platform to systematically handle greenhouse gas data. During the reporting period, the company recorded total greenhouse gas emissions of 14,876.8 tons CO2e, achieving an emission intensity of only 0.94 tons CO2e per million RMB of revenue, significantly below the industry average.
The company also promotes green office practices, including smart offices and paperless workflows, to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability. UNISOC recognizes that social responsibility is a long-term commitment and intends to collaborate closely with global partners and customers to advance low-carbon and sustainable development.
Through initiatives such as the “ChipFire” classroom, UNISOC is dedicated to making innovation accessible to everyone, everywhere, ensuring that technological advancements benefit all segments of society.
