UNISOC Launches Global “ChipFire” Education Program for Youth
UNISOC has unveiled the “ChipFire” classroom, a global science education initiative aimed at sparking interest in technology among young people. Launched on November 7, 2025, in Shanghai, this program combines engaging, hands-on learning experiences with an exploration of chips and 5G technology. Since its inception, more than 10,000 teachers and students have participated, discovering the potential of innovation in a fun and interactive environment.
As a global leader in technology, UNISOC emphasizes its commitment to sustainable and responsible innovation. The company adheres to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, focusing on low-carbon development, digital inclusion, and technology that prioritizes human welfare. UNISOC aims to create a greener and fairer future through its technological advancements.
Driving Sustainable Living Through Technology
While intelligent systems enhance modern life, they also contribute to rising energy consumption and environmental pressures. UNISOC believes that technology should embody both performance and environmental respect. The company has integrated green technology into everyday applications, showcasing its dedication to sustainability.
In the past year, UNISOC’s chips have facilitated billions of shared bikes worldwide, resulting in a reduction of over 900,000 tons of carbon emissions. Additionally, the company’s 5G chips have achieved a remarkable 40% reduction in core power consumption, eliminating approximately 816,000 tons of CO2 annually, placing it well below industry averages. In various Internet of Things (IoT) applications, UNISOC’s high-efficiency chips have helped partners decrease power consumption by an average of 20%, collectively cutting about 310,000 tons of carbon emissions each year across industries.
Fostering Connectivity and Digital Inclusion
Despite the rapid pace of technological advancement, around three billion people globally still lack access to digital resources. UNISOC asserts that innovation should bridge these gaps rather than widen them. With a vision of making technology more equitable, the company aims to enhance connectivity for all.
Currently, UNISOC products are available in over 140 countries and regions. Notably, one in every eight smartphones and one in every four cellular IoT devices worldwide is powered by UNISOC technology. This extensive reach has enabled significant advancements in various sectors, including healthcare and education.
In its efforts to support the elderly, UNISOC has developed senior-friendly smartphones and health-monitoring devices, allowing tens of millions of older individuals to engage with the digital world. Furthermore, the company has established a strong foothold in the children’s wearables market, enhancing safety for over 100 million children globally. Through the “ChipFire” classroom program, UNISOC continues to inspire over 10,000 young people each year to explore science and innovation through practical experimentation.
UNISOC also focuses on supporting small businesses with smart point-of-sale (POS) terminals, providing convenient payment solutions that empower entrepreneurs in local communities. The company envisions a future where innovation is boundless, and connections are borderless, striving for a world where technology enriches lives.
Commitment to Trust and Transparency
In an era marked by rapid digital transformation, trust in technology is paramount. UNISOC recognizes that technological advancement must be accompanied by responsible practices. The company prioritizes sound governance, ensuring that every innovation is backed by a transparent and efficient operational framework.
UNISOC integrates ESG principles throughout its corporate strategy, enhancing operational efficiency and maintaining transparency in its practices. Adhering to the ISO 14064 greenhouse-gas verification standard, the company employs a carbon-emissions management platform to systematically track greenhouse-gas data. During the last reporting period, UNISOC recorded total greenhouse-gas emissions of 14,876.8 tons CO2e, achieving an emission intensity of just 0.94 tons CO2e per million RMB in revenue, significantly below industry averages.
To promote sustainability within its operations, UNISOC has implemented green office initiatives, including smart offices and paperless workflows. As a global technology enterprise, UNISOC is committed to long-term social responsibility, collaborating with customers, partners, and communities to further low-carbon and sustainable development.
Through the “ChipFire” classroom and other initiatives, UNISOC aims to make innovation accessible to everyone, everywhere, fostering a more inclusive and sustainable technological landscape.
