TECNO Unveils Winners of 2025 Global Photography Contest
TECNO has announced the winners of its 2025 “Shot On CAMON” Global Photography Contest, celebrating creativity and storytelling through mobile photography. Organized in partnership with **Amateur Photographer magazine**, the contest attracted over **10,000 submissions** from **56 countries**, showcasing diverse perspectives on life’s vibrant moments.
The contest’s total prize pool amounts to **USD 37,000**, awarded to ten exceptional creators. The top honor, the **TECNO Photography Master**, comes with a **USD 10,000** Grand Prize. Additional prizes include **USD 5,000** for Gold, **USD 3,000** for Silver, and **USD 1,000** for Bronze winners. Furthermore, ten participants received the “TECNO Friend” Prize, each awarded a **CAMON 40 Premier 5G** smartphone.
A Platform for Authentic Narratives
“This year’s Shot On CAMON contest shows clear growth from the first edition—not just in scale, but in confidence and individuality,” remarked **Nigel Atherton**, Editor of **Amateur Photographer magazine**. He emphasized how many creators from emerging markets conveyed powerful everyday stories with a distinct visual voice. This initiative by TECNO to facilitate such expression brings significant value to the project.
**Laury Bai**, Chief Marketing Officer of TECNO, stated, “Through ‘Shot On CAMON,’ TECNO celebrates not just technical skill, but the power of perspective. Every photograph tells a unique story, revealing the beauty, rhythm, and connection in our daily lives. By providing creators with innovative technology, we hope to inspire more people to share their vision.”
From **May 1 to September 30, 2025**, mobile photographers worldwide submitted their works in three categories: **Snap Every Pulse**, **Snap All Fleeting Bonds**, and **Snap Any Motion**. The entries captured life’s vivid rhythms and emotions through local perspectives.
Highlights from the Winners
The **Grand Prize** of **TECNO Photography Master** was awarded to Nigerian photographer **@micheal_the_colorist** for his captivating work titled **High Spirits**. This photograph, taken with the **CAMON 40 Pro**, features a group of friends mid-air, their colorful attire forming a striking geometry against a bright blue sky, symbolizing youth and freedom.
In the **Snap Every Pulse** category, the Gold Prize was awarded to an evocative image of a young Nigerian girl joyfully running down a sunlit street. The Silver Prize recognized a playful scene of dogs on a wall, while the Bronze Prize showcased traditional grain processing, reflecting the community’s enduring labor.
For the **Snap All Fleeting Bonds** category, the Gold Prize captured children gleefully playing in muddy surroundings, radiating warmth and friendship. The Silver Prize illustrated silhouetted kids chasing each other on a beach at sunset, and the Bronze Prize depicted a boy caring for a goat, symbolizing tender connections across species.
In the **Snap Any Motion** category, the Gold Prize went to a stunning shot of a **sepak takraw** player leaping at dusk, merging strength with grace. The Silver Prize featured a cyclist in mid-air performing a stunt, while the Bronze Prize depicted a dancer spinning in a red dress against city architecture.
As part of their rewards, the winners will partake in an exclusive **London Photography Tour** at the end of 2025, offering an immersive experience to exchange ideas and capture the vibrant pulse of the city. Their works will also be displayed in global exhibitions, included in TECNO’s annual photo book, and showcased in TECNO’s official online gallery, encouraging further participation from aspiring photographers worldwide.
