Stéphane Rolland to Showcase Haute Couture at Barcelona Bridal Night

Stéphane Rolland will present a remarkable showcase of Haute Couture at the 10th anniversary of Barcelona Bridal Night, the flagship gala of Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week (BBFW) 2026. This event, scheduled for the evening of April 22, 2026, marks the Parisian couturier’s first runway show in Spain. Rolland, a distinguished member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, will feature a blend of retrospective pieces alongside 20 exclusive new creations designed specifically for this occasion.
The showcase will comprise a total of 80 Haute Couture looks, evenly divided among bridal, evening, and red-carpet styles. This presentation aims to celebrate Rolland’s vision of fashion as a living sculpture and an expression of pure emotion. The venue for this prestigious event is Hall 8 of the Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc, an iconic Art Deco space renowned for its architectural grandeur, originally built for the 1929 International Exhibition.
Celebrating Fashion and Cultural Heritage
BBFW, running from April 22 to 26, is recognized globally as the epicenter for bridal, ceremony, and red-carpet fashion. The event will bring together over 400 brands and around 40 international designers. The significance of the 2026 edition is amplified as Barcelona is named the World Capital of Architecture, further enhancing the city’s cultural prominence.
In a statement, Rolland expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Presenting my work at BBFW is a great honor. Barcelona shares with Haute Couture the same devotion to form, volume, and artistic expression.” His participation continues the tradition of featuring renowned designers, including past headliners like Vivienne Westwood, Giambattista Valli, Viktor & Rolf, and Elie Saab.
Nurturing Future Talent
Rolland is committed to fostering future talent in the fashion industry. He has invited 24 students from leading fashion schools in Barcelona—IED, ESDI, and LCI—to open the runway with their own creations. These pieces were developed in collaboration with Maison Stéphane Rolland, utilizing fabrics donated by Gratacós. This initiative reflects a shared belief in the importance of empowering the next generation of designers within Haute Couture.
Stéphane Rolland has dressed numerous celebrities, including Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, Beyoncé, and Jennifer Lopez. Known for his mastery of sculptural couture, architectural precision, and theatrical elegance, his arrival at BBFW underscores the event’s mission to position Haute Couture as a living art form that continues to influence culture and beauty on a global scale.
The event promises to be a celebration of creativity and innovation, showcasing how fashion can serve as a profound medium for artistic expression.
