Manulife Hong Kong and Macau, in partnership with education technology company Preface, has announced the finalists for the AI Creativity Competition: Prompt Your Future Career. This initiative, which attracted nearly 500 students from Hong Kong, Macau, and other cities in the Greater Bay Area, aims to inspire young individuals to explore career opportunities enhanced by artificial intelligence. The competition was launched in November 2025 and has since garnered significant interest.

Public voting for the finalists is now open and will continue until February 4, 2026. Members of the public can cast their votes for the most innovative AI-powered career vision by visiting the official voting platform. The entries reflect a diverse array of themes, including sustainability, mental health, and aerospace innovation, highlighting the participants’ creative insights into the evolving landscape of work.

Celia Ling, Chief Marketing Officer of Manulife Hong Kong and Macau, emphasized the importance of innovation in serving both customers and communities. “By integrating AI tools into this competition, we hope to encourage young people to think boldly about the future of work,” she stated. Ling expressed her excitement about the creativity displayed in the submissions, which she believes showcases the immense potential of the next generation.

Evaluating Creativity Through Professional Insight

The competition features a distinguished judging panel comprised of experts from various fields, including insurance, education technology, consulting, and cloud technology. Entries are assessed based on creativity, technical application, and clarity of expression. Alongside Ling, the panel includes Andy Bruce, Chief Information Officer of Manulife, Tommie Lo, Founder and CEO of Preface, and Clement Wong, Business Director for the Public Sector at Google Cloud Hong Kong.

In a notable innovation, the competition has introduced the “AI Judge Powered by Manulife.” This proprietary tool provides AI-driven feedback on shortlisted entries, complementing the evaluations from the professional panel to foster a more nuanced and innovative assessment process. Despite the AI’s involvement, the final results will be determined exclusively by the human judges.

Voting for the competition is limited to one vote per person per category. The award ceremony, where three major awards will be presented, is scheduled for February 8, 2026. The event will include presentations from the finalists and showcase the winning submissions.
