The Madhya Pradesh government is set to host the Global Spiritual Conclave in Ujjain on August 27, 2025. Organized by the state’s Tourism Department in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, the event will be inaugurated by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, the Union Minister of Tourism and Culture, alongside Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. This significant gathering aims to bring together over 300 dignitaries, including prominent spiritual leaders, thinkers, and visionaries from around the world.

The event’s primary objective is to promote spiritual tourism, preserve cultural heritage, and facilitate dialogue on responsible hospitality. An official associated with the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Department stated, “This initiative is expected to benefit not only the tourism industry but also all those who seek to connect India’s profound spiritual legacy with modernity.”

Showcasing India’s Spiritual Heritage

The Global Spiritual Conclave will serve as a global platform, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and spiritual traditions. The event will also offer direct outreach to corporate groups and temple trusts as preparations continue for Simhastha 2028 in Ujjain.

Key sessions will include a thematic discussion on the Jyotirlingas within the Jyotirling Circuit, emphasizing the significance and preservation of India’s twelve Jyotirlingas. Another important session will focus on temple economies, illustrating how major temples like Tirupati, Vaishno Devi, and Kashi Vishwanath contribute to local economies. Insights from the Maha Kumbh 2025, which attracted over 660 million devotees, will also be highlighted.

The session titled “Mandala of Mahakal: Ujjain’s Spiritual Power and Urban Future” will draw attention to the sacred significance of Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga and discuss the impact of the Simhastha Kumbh alongside innovations in urban development.

Exploring New Frontiers of Spirituality

Additional sessions will delve into contemporary aspects of spirituality, including “Mind, Body and Soul: Wellness as the New Spiritual Frontier.” This session will examine the integration of Ayurveda, Yoga, and meditation with tourism. Another session, “Divine in Digital – Spirituality 2.0,” will discuss how emerging technologies such as virtual darshan, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality can enhance accessibility to spiritual experiences.

The conclave will conclude with darshan at the Mahakaleshwar and Kal Bhairav temples, providing delegates with a direct spiritual experience. This event is poised to further strengthen India’s spiritual presence on the international stage, attracting attention to its deep-rooted traditions and modern interpretations of spirituality.

This gathering is expected to not only uplift the tourism sector but also foster a global dialogue on spirituality, making it a pivotal moment for Ujjain and Madhya Pradesh.
