Erdogan Celebrates Working Journalists’ Day in Istanbul
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan celebrated January 10 as Working Journalists’ Day during a visit to the Beyoglu district in Istanbul. The occasion provided Erdogan with the opportunity to meet with members of the press, extending congratulations and expressing appreciation for their work.
During the gathering, Erdogan greeted journalists warmly, stating, “On the anniversary of Working Journalists’ Day, we are happy to be together with you here. I hope we will have the opportunity to mark many more anniversaries together. I wish you a blessed anniversary.” His remarks highlighted the importance of the journalistic profession in Turkey.
Erdogan was accompanied by several key officials, including Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Ozdemir Goktas, Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, and Communications Director Burhanettin Duran. Their presence underscored the government’s recognition of the media’s role in society and the ongoing relationship between journalists and government officials.
