DeRucci Launches AI Mattress Series in Singapore for Better Sleep
DeRucci has launched its latest AI mattress series in Singapore, aimed at enhancing sleep quality for consumers in a bustling urban environment. The innovative mattresses, including the T11+ and T11Z+ models, integrate advanced technology and ergonomic design to provide restorative rest. Founded in 2004, DeRucci has expanded from a bedding manufacturer to a global sleep wellness brand, operating over 5,400 stores across 10 countries, including Singapore, China, Australia, Canada, and the United States.
Integrating Technology for Restorative Sleep
DeRucci has collaborated with more than ten international institutions, such as the MIT Media Lab and Harvard Medical School, to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) and sensor-driven design into its smart mattresses. The result is a new generation of sleep solutions that are responsive to users’ body dynamics in real time, ensuring optimal alignment, pressure relief, and recovery.
“DeRucci has developed multiple generations of smart AI mattresses, and with each iteration, our technology has evolved and become more advanced,” stated Patrick Peng, product director at DeRucci. “By combining global expertise, cutting-edge research, and Industry 4.0 manufacturing, we’re not just making mattresses – we’re redefining how people experience sleep.”
The AI mattress series was recognized for breakthrough innovation at the Consumer Electronics Show 2024. The intelligent technology is embedded within the mattress, setting it apart from conventional smart beds that rely on app-based controls. Central to this innovation is DeRucci’s patented AI Tidal Algorithm 2.0, which uses real-time data to make automatic adjustments, ensuring consistent support throughout the night.
Personalized Sleep Experience
The T11+ model features 23 intelligent sensors that monitor five key areas: shoulders, back, waist, hips, and legs. These sensors collaborate with 14 flexible adjustment units to adapt to the user’s sleeping position, body shape, weight, and movement. This technology maintains spinal alignment and minimizes motion transfer, making it suitable for couples who share a bed.
According to Wenze Chen, head of research and development at DeRucci Group, the T11+ employs clinically validated cardiopulmonary coupling technology. This method, developed at Harvard Medical School, allows for non-contact monitoring of vital signs while sleeping. It tracks heart rate and breathing with impressive accuracy, detecting movement with 97 percent accuracy within just 20 milliseconds.
In addition to automatic adjustments, the mattress syncs with the DeRucci AI app, generating personalized sleep reports that offer insights into sleep stages and overall scores. A recent 60-day trial verified by the Chinese Sleep Research Society revealed measurable improvements in sleep quality, including a 37.3 percent reduction in sleep latency and a 21.5 percent decrease in tossing and turning.
“Participants also noted a 20.8 percent reduction in sleep arousals, underscoring the mattress’ effectiveness in promoting uninterrupted rest,” added Peng.
With the purchase of a DeRucci AI smart mattress, customers receive complimentary software upgrades throughout the mattress’s lifespan, ensuring continuous enhancements in sleep quality.
Sleep experts recommend adults get between seven to nine hours of quality sleep per night. Chronic sleep deprivation not only leaves individuals feeling tired but also links to an increased risk of various health conditions, including hypertension, heart disease, and Type 2 diabetes.
As the demand for integrated wellness solutions rises, DeRucci is committed to building a connected sleep ecosystem that leverages intelligent hardware and data to foster long-term sleep health. “As sleep takes on a larger role in the wellness conversation, we aim to support it with technology that understands and responds to individual sleep needs,” stated Yeo Khee Wee, senior commercial manager for DeRucci Singapore.
The introduction of the AI mattress series marks a significant advancement in sleep technology, offering consumers a tailored approach to achieving better rest and overall health.
