The annual community event, the AXA BetterMe Weekend, celebrated its fifth anniversary on October 25-26, 2025, in Hong Kong, attracting over 13,000 participants. Hosted at AXA WONDERLAND in West Kowloon, the carnival aimed to spread positivity and inspire community members to pursue their wellness goals.
The opening ceremony featured Sammi Cheng, AXA’s brand ambassador, who energized the crowd with her engaging remarks. Her presence set a lively tone for the event, which focused on promoting well-being through the theme of “BetterMe Express.” This theme emphasizes AXA’s commitment to its three core pillars: Mind Health, Physical Health, and Sustainable Living.
The venue was bustling with interactive game booths, live performances, and free workshops, all designed to deepen attendees’ understanding of holistic wellbeing and its connection to environmental sustainability. A standout moment included an interactive session with Sammi Cheng, followed by a performance from local band Pandora.
The carnival also featured a parade, bubble shows, busking, and new outdoor playground facilities, including a large inflatable bouncy castle, ensuring fun for participants of all ages. In collaboration with the Liverpool FC International Academy, AXA hosted football training sessions for children, highlighting the importance of physical activity and sports.
AXA’s collaborative efforts extended to various partners including ELEMENTS, Green Power, and HK Express, who contributed to an array of prizes. Participants had the chance to win flight tickets, travel gift cards, sports equipment, and limited-edition anniversary gifts, enhancing the overall experience.
Sally Wan, Chief Executive Officer of AXA Greater China, expressed her pride in the event’s evolution over the past five years. “The AXA BetterMe Weekend has transformed from a public health platform into a vibrant community celebration that promotes positive values,” she stated. Wan emphasized the importance of harmony among body, mind, spirit, and environment in achieving true wellbeing and reaffirmed AXA’s commitment to fostering sustainable lifestyles within communities.
During her appearance, Sammi Cheng shared her philosophy on success, aligning it with AXA’s core message, “Know You Can.” She explained that self-belief is crucial in overcoming challenges and emphasized the significance of balancing physical and mental health. “BetterMe is not about striving for perfection, but embracing vulnerabilities and learning to enjoy the journey of growth,” she noted.
AXA places significant emphasis on the health of its customers, offering a comprehensive platform through its AXA BetterMe initiative. This service includes nearly 20 services covering physical health, mental health, and health management. One notable program, “BeOnTrack,” provides expert guidance from a multidisciplinary team of family doctors, dietitians, and personal trainers.
Access to AXA’s BetterMe services is available anytime through the “Emma by AXA” app, making it convenient for users to achieve their health goals. More details on the AXA BetterMe initiative can be found on their website.
The success of the AXA BetterMe Weekend not only highlights the growing community engagement but also reinforces the company’s commitment to promoting health and wellness in Hong Kong. With a focus on sustainability and social responsibility, AXA aims to continue being a positive force in the community, shaping a healthier future for all.
