Vietnam Healthcare Summit 2025 Drives Innovation and Investment
The Vietnam Healthcare Summit 2025, themed “Making Vietnam an Innovation Hub Through Healthcare,” took place on October 28, 2025, at the JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon. Organized by Vietnam Innovators Digest, the summit attracted over 200 leaders in healthcare, including investors, policymakers, and experts from around the world. The event served as a platform to discuss Vietnam’s potential to emerge as a regional hub for healthcare innovation.
Morning sessions of the summit focused on patient-centered innovation and improving access to healthcare services. Opening the agenda was a report from Hello Health Group that provided insights into the healthcare perspectives and needs of Vietnamese citizens. Subsequent discussions aimed at advancing public-private collaboration, enhancing community-level healthcare, and transforming pharmacies into integrated care platforms. The introduction of technological solutions to improve clinical outcomes and establish digital infrastructure was a key highlight of the agenda.
Alexandra Smith, the British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized the importance of innovation in the healthcare sector. She stated, “Vietnam is a very exciting and forward-looking market – one that is actively seeking scalable solutions and embracing technology to meet the healthcare needs of its people. Innovation and digital tools are key enablers, but trust remains the foundation for lasting partnerships.” Smith also noted the increasing presence of British companies in the Vietnamese market, signaling strong future collaboration.
In the afternoon, the summit shifted focus to digital transformation and new financial models designed to scale innovation in healthcare. Discussions centered on the collaboration potential between health-tech startups and traditional hospital systems to enhance cost efficiency and treatment outcomes. Notably, the summit introduced Vietnam’s first social loan for healthcare, shedding light on how multinational corporations are partnering with public institutions through innovative public-private partnership (PPP) models to drive systemic transformation.
The summit featured a Live Interactive Session, providing diverse perspectives on how Vietnam can redefine its healthcare future. Networking opportunities included a general Networking Lunch and an Executive Lunch, a closed-door event for speakers, investors, and senior leaders designed to foster dialogue and build long-term partnerships in healthcare.
Commitment to Innovation and Sustainable Impact
The summit highlighted the critical role of innovation in healthcare, as expressed by Deepanshu Madan, Chief Executive Officer of Pharmacity Pharmacy Joint Stock Company. He remarked, “Innovation in healthcare is not just about technology or capital; it begins with understanding what people truly need and creating solutions that improve their lives every day.” He emphasized the necessity of collaboration among consumers, policymakers, and partners to stay focused on impactful solutions.
Francis Tuan Anh Nguyen, Founder and CEO of OneMedic Joint Stock Company, discussed the role of artificial intelligence in healthcare. He clarified, “The goal of artificial intelligence in healthcare is not to replace doctors, but to support them in making faster, more accurate decisions and expanding access to care, even in remote and underserved areas.” He reinforced that while AI serves as a tool, physicians remain responsible for diagnosis and treatment, which can elevate care quality significantly.
Through its comprehensive discussions, the Vietnam Healthcare Summit 2025 addressed pressing challenges and outlined innovative solutions for the healthcare sector. From advanced medical technologies to long-term investment strategies and enabling policies, the summit reflected the evolving trajectory of Vietnam’s healthcare system in both regional and global contexts.
The event successfully mobilized resources, spurred digital transformation, and outlined a vision for a modern, sustainable, and people-centered healthcare system. By aligning professional organization with actionable content, the summit reaffirmed its long-term commitment to innovation as a driving force for the sustainable development of Vietnam’s healthcare sector.
