K-Beauty and K-MediTech Expo Malaysia 2025 Strengthens Ties
The K-Beauty Expo Malaysia 2025 and K-MediTech Expo Malaysia 2025 successfully concluded on November 28, 2025, at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre, marking a significant collaboration between South Korea and Malaysia in the beauty and healthcare sectors. Hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organised by KINTEX, the events attracted thousands of visitors, including buyers, healthcare professionals, and beauty enthusiasts from across Southeast Asia.
Successful Showcase of Innovation
The dual expos made their debut in Malaysia, featuring over 150 Korean brands that showcased advanced skincare formulations, derma-cosmetics, AI-powered beauty tools, and cutting-edge medical devices. The opening ceremony was attended by key figures, including Mr. Sang-woo Hong, Ambassador for International Relations from Gyeonggi Province, and Mr. Jaeyul Lee, President of KINTEX. Notable Malaysian officials such as YB Wong Hon Wai, Executive Council Member for Tourism and Creative Economy, and Dato’ Khoo Boo Lim, Board Director of the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau, also participated.
The event featured a vibrant atmosphere, including a lively opening ceremony, extensive exhibitor showcases, and specialised industry presentations. Exhibitors reported strong engagement with Malaysian and regional buyers, indicating a growing demand for Korean innovations in both beauty and healthcare.
Visitors experienced a dynamic three-day event filled with activities such as personal colour analysis, Korean traditional games, and live demonstrations. The expo halls were bustling as attendees explored booths, sampled products, and interacted with representatives from Korean companies seeking partnerships in the ASEAN region. Local influencers enhanced the event’s visibility by sharing highlights on social media, while student groups participated in guided tours.
Strengthening Commercial Ties
In conjunction with the expos, the 10th ASEAN Meeting of Aesthetic Surgery & Medicine (AMAS 2025) took place, gathering aesthetic and medical professionals to discuss dermatology, clinical innovations, and future industry trends. This collaboration underscores the significance of the expos in fostering commercial ties between Korea and Malaysia, particularly in sectors where Korea is recognised as a global leader.
As the events concluded, KINTEX expressed gratitude to all exhibitors, partners, and visitors for their contributions to the inaugural edition in Malaysia. The successful launch of both expos not only highlights the potential for ongoing collaboration but also sets the stage for future business expansion in the region.
