HMI Medical Launches New Radiology Centre to Enhance Diagnostics
HMI Medical has officially expanded its diagnostic capabilities in Singapore with the launch of HMI Radiology (Novena) on October 22, 2025. This new facility, located within Royal Square Novena, offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services, including advanced modalities designed to enhance patient care.
The Novena centre complements HMI’s existing facility at HMI Radiology (Farrer Park), further improving access to critical imaging services in Singapore’s Novena Medical Hub. Equipped with cutting-edge technologies such as the MAGNETOM Lumina 3T MRI and the SOMATOM Drive CT, the centre is set to provide patients with faster, more comfortable imaging experiences. These advanced tools are designed to deliver high-resolution images, enabling clinicians to detect health issues with greater accuracy.
In addition to traditional imaging services, HMI Radiology (Novena) will include interventional radiology offerings. These services will provide image-guided biopsy procedures, ensuring minimally invasive and precise tissue sampling for accurate diagnoses of various medical conditions.
Dr. Walter Lim, CEO of HMI Singapore, commented on the significance of this expansion, stating, “With the growing emphasis on strengthening healthcare beyond the hospital setting, we are excited to expand HMI Radiology services and provide greater access to affordable advanced imaging within the community.” He emphasized the centre’s commitment to facilitating early detection, accurate diagnosis, and integrated patient care through state-of-the-art technology.
This development is further bolstered by a strategic partnership with Siemens Healthineers, which enhances HMI’s diagnostic capabilities across its network of hospitals and medical centres in Singapore and Malaysia. The collaboration aims to integrate advanced imaging solutions and artificial intelligence tools, ultimately empowering clinicians to achieve greater diagnostic precision and improve patient experiences.
Ms. Siow Ai Li, Managing Director for Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei at Siemens Healthineers, highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating, “This partnership reflects our shared vision to make advanced healthcare more accessible and efficient.”
HMI Medical has established itself as a significant player in the regional healthcare landscape, serving over 3 million patients annually. The Group operates an extensive network in Singapore, including 45 primary care and health screening centres and 21 specialist centres. This expansion into advanced imaging underscores HMI Medical’s ongoing commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
As the facility opens its doors, it is poised to play a crucial role in the community, reflecting a growing trend towards outpatient care and preventive health measures. The introduction of advanced imaging technologies at HMI Radiology (Novena) marks a significant step in making high-quality healthcare more accessible to the public.
