Taiwanese Singer Denny Tsao Found Dead at 66 in New Taipei City
Taiwanese singer and entertainer Denny Tsao (曹西平) was discovered dead at his home in the Sanchong District of New Taipei City last night, according to local police reports. Emergency services received a call around 22:00 local time, indicating that Tsao had collapsed in his bedroom. Paramedics arrived at the scene at 22:27 and confirmed his death.
Authorities have conducted preliminary investigations and ruled out foul play, suggesting that Tsao’s death is likely due to illness or other natural causes. The case will be referred to prosecutors to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Tsao, who was born on April 23, 1957, made a significant impact on the Taiwanese music scene. He released his first album in 1982, which marked the beginning of a successful career. Among his most notable hits are Wild Youth (野性的青春), Passionate Girls (熱情的姑娘), and Love Trap (愛情陷阱).
In addition to his music career, Tsao was a familiar face on television. He appeared on popular variety shows such as Kangsi Coming (康熙來了) and Dragon Tiger Variety King (龍虎綜藝王), further solidifying his status as a beloved entertainer in Taiwan.
