Taiwanese Singer Denny Tsao Found Dead at 66 in New Taipei City
Taiwanese singer and entertainer Denny Tsao (曹西平) was found dead at his residence in the Sanchong District of New Taipei City on the evening of March 15, 2024. Local police reported that emergency services received a call around 22:00, indicating that Tsao had collapsed in his bedroom. Paramedics arrived at the scene by 22:27, where they confirmed that Tsao had already passed away.
Preliminary investigations have ruled out foul play, with authorities suspecting that his death may be linked to illness or other natural causes. The case will be referred to prosecutors for further examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Denny Tsao launched his music career with his first album in 1982. He gained widespread recognition with popular songs such as “Wild Youth” (野性的青春), “Passionate Girls” (熱情的姑娘), and “Love Trap” (愛情陷阱). Over the years, Tsao became a familiar face on Taiwanese television, featuring in numerous variety shows, including “Kangsi Coming” (康熙來了) and “Dragon Tiger Variety King” (龍虎綜藝王).
Tsao’s contributions to the music and entertainment industry made him a beloved figure in Taiwan, and his sudden passing has left many fans and colleagues in shock.
