Netflix Unveils Exciting Lineup of Telugu Films for 2024
Netflix has announced an impressive slate of Telugu films set to stream on its platform following their theatrical releases in 2024. This announcement, made on the occasion of the festival of Makara Sankranthi on January 16, highlights the streaming giant’s ongoing commitment to showcasing diverse voices and stories from the Telugu film industry.
Among the highly anticipated films are Pawan Kalyan‘s action-packed drama ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’, directed by Harish Shankar, and Nani‘s emotional entertainer ‘Paradise’. Both films are expected to draw significant attention upon their release. The list also includes Ram Charan‘s much-awaited ‘Peddi’, adding to the excitement around these major productions.
Other notable titles set to feature on Netflix include ‘Aakasamlo Oka Tara’, which stars Dulquer Salmaan in a compelling new role, and ‘Don’t Trouble the Trouble’ with Fahadh Faasil. The platform will also host Vijay Deverakonda‘s historical action film VD14.
In a statement, Netflix emphasized its dedication to Telugu cinema, stating that the lineup reflects the scale and diversity of the industry, alongside its growing global appeal. The streaming service is keen on supporting filmmakers as they innovate and push creative boundaries.
The upcoming films include gripping narratives, such as ‘Adarsha Kutumbam – House No: 47’, directed by renowned filmmaker Trivikram and featuring the esteemed Venkatesh. Additional titles slated for Netflix include ‘The Biker’, starring Sharwanand, and ‘Funky’, featuring Vishwak Sen and Kayadu Lohar.
Other films on the list include ‘Champion’, starring Roshann and Anaswara Rajan, ‘Production No 37’ featuring Anna Ben and Harsh Roshan, ‘Raakaasa’ by Sangeeth Shobhan, and ‘418’, starring Chaitra Archar and Shree Vaishnav.
Monika Shergill, Netflix India’s Vice President of Content, remarked, “Telugu cinema has a deeply engaged audience, shaped by its scale, ambitious storytelling, and strong emotional connect.” She noted that the variety of films, ranging from mainstream entertainers to nuanced character-driven stories, reflects the evolving dynamics of the industry.
The selection aims to deliver an engaging mix of action, drama, and emotional depth, promising to resonate with a global audience. With a strong focus on storytelling, Netflix continues to solidify its role in bringing Telugu cinema to a wider viewership.
