Karanvir Bohra Joins ‘Aami Dakini’ as Mysterious Professor

Karanvir Bohra has confirmed his role in the upcoming Sony Entertainment series Aami Dakini, where he will portray a mysterious professor. The actor expressed his excitement about joining the show, stating that he has been a fan for some time and is eager to contribute to its thrilling narrative.
In an interview, Bohra described his character as intriguing, emphasizing the complexity involved. “When I was offered the role of the Professor, I was really excited,” he said. “The role is quite interesting, as you can never really know what’s going on in his mind or what to expect from him. He walks a fine line between intellect and mystery, which gives me a lot of room to play with subtlety and nuance.” He believes that viewers will find the character’s journey both captivating and engaging.
Supporting Cast and Unique Atmosphere
The ensemble cast of Aami Dakini also includes Hitesh Bharadwaj as Ayaan Roy Chowdhary and Rachi Sharma as Meera Ghosh, alongside Sheen Dass, who plays the titular role of Dakini. With Bohra’s entry, the show is expected to take new and unexpected directions.
Sheen Dass previously shared her experiences filming at haunted locations, revealing that the atmosphere significantly adds to the show’s eerie tone. “We’ve shot at places that give off spooky vibes. We went to Kolkata and filmed in old abandoned mansions—Rajbaris,” she noted. “I haven’t experienced anything supernatural, but the atmosphere alone is enough to spook you.”
Discussing her character, Dass described Darkini as more than just a ghost. “I’ve never played such a character before. Darkini isn’t just a ghost—she’s a deeply emotional and layered character. She’s a simple woman blessed with magical powers, a wonderful dancer, and someone who loves with all her heart. However, she has been betrayed by the one she loved the most. She has suffered a lot, yet even after death, she carries the hope of reuniting with her love.”
Aami Dakini – Husn Bhi, Maut Bhi premiered on June 23, 2025, on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV, promising to deliver a blend of suspense and emotional depth that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. As the series unfolds, the addition of Karanvir Bohra’s character is poised to heighten the intrigue, enhancing the overall viewing experience.
