Just For Laughs Comedy Festival Debuts in Singapore This November

The prestigious Just For Laughs comedy festival is set to make its debut in Singapore this November, showcasing a lineup of prominent comedians. The festival will run from November 24 to December 15, 2023, featuring a variety of standalone shows and an anticipated “all-star” gala event.
The festival will host solo performances from acclaimed comedians including Jimmy O Yang, Eddie Izzard, John Bishop, and Jason Cheny. This inaugural event aims to bring the universal language of laughter to a diverse audience in Singapore, a city known for its rich cultural tapestry.
One of the highlights of the festival is the gala event scheduled for November 26 at the Esplanade Theatre. This special occasion will feature performances from a stellar lineup, including Jason Cheny, Jamie Wang, Brian Tseng, Jason Leong, Douglas Lim, Norah Yang, and Vivek Mahbubani.
Ticket sales for the gala will begin with a presale session starting at 10:00 AM on September 3 and concluding at 11:59 AM on September 4. General ticket sales will commence at 12:00 PM on September 4, with prices ranging from S$68 to S$98, as reported by ticketing platform Sistic.
In a statement, Sylvain Parent-Bedard, the president and CEO of Just For Laughs, expressed enthusiasm for the festival’s launch, stating, “We’re incredibly excited for the launch of Just For Laughs Singapore. As a crossroads of cultures and creativity, this city is the perfect place to host a festival dedicated to the universal language of laughter.”
He further emphasized the collaboration with Bohm Entertainment to ensure that the festival resonates with local audiences while expanding its global reach. The festival promises to be a significant addition to Singapore’s vibrant entertainment scene, celebrating comedy in a city renowned for its diverse artistic expressions.
