Jam Hsiao Returns to Singapore with New Music and Marriage Joy

Taiwanese singer Jam Hsiao is set to perform in Singapore on October 25, 2023, as part of his highly anticipated Wild/Mild world tour at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. This marks a significant moment for Hsiao, who has seen many changes in his personal and professional life since his last full-length concert in the country in 2018.
In a surprising turn of events, Hsiao announced his engagement to longtime manager Summer Lin in 2023, a revelation that captured widespread attention. The couple later celebrated their marriage with a lavish banquet at the Taipei Marriott Hotel. In addition to his personal milestones, Hsiao recently signed a deal with Sony Music Entertainment, aimed at expanding the reach of Mandopop music globally.
Concert Expectations and Personal Reflections
During a recent interview with CNA Lifestyle, Hsiao expressed his enthusiasm for returning to Singapore, a location he holds dear. “Every time I come to Singapore, I feel especially happy. I like how green it is and the variety of delicious food,” he stated. One memorable experience in Singapore included riding the Extreme Swing at Clarke Quay, despite his fear of heights.
When discussing the differences between Singaporean audiences and those in other cities, Hsiao noted, “I used to hear people say that the Singapore audience is very calm, but they’re so enthusiastic every time I perform.” He eagerly anticipates the energy of his fans in the upcoming concert.
Hsiao confirmed that his new single will be released on October 17, 2023, with its music video filmed in Singapore. He plans to introduce new music during the tour, alongside a carefully curated setlist that reflects his growth as an artist. “Choosing songs is really difficult. I have to think about the overall flow of the show,” he explained.
A New Chapter in Life and Career
The impact of marriage on Hsiao’s life has been profound. He mentioned, “After getting married, I’ve slowed the pace down a little, giving myself more time to be with myself and my family.” His approach to performances and concert preparation has evolved, allowing for more rest between shows.
In reflecting on his journey since his rise to fame on One Million Star, Hsiao advised his younger self to embrace every experience as a catalyst for growth. He remains committed to his music and grateful for the support he has received from fans over the years. “My passion for music has only grown, never diminished,” he affirmed.
Tickets for the concert on October 25 are available through Ticketmaster, priced between S$168 and S$298. With new music and a refreshed perspective on life, Jam Hsiao’s return to Singapore is expected to be a memorable event for both him and his fans.
