Dhanush Urges Fans to Form Their Own Opinions on Film Reviews

Actor and director Dhanush has called on fans to form their own opinions about his upcoming film, Idli Kadai, rather than relying on early reviews. Speaking at the trailer launch event in Coimbatore on September 21, 2023, he emphasized the importance of watching the film and discussing it with friends who have seen it. Dhanush expressed concern over reviews being published prematurely, stating that this trend undermines the viewing experience.

“After the movie releases, there will be a few reviews that will come out at 08:00, when the film itself begins at 09:00,” he noted. “Please don’t believe such reviews. If a film releases at 09:00, one will get to know how the film is only at 12:30. Even before the film ends, a lot of reviews will be put out. Please watch the film and make a decision or ask your friends who might have watched the film.”

Dhanush stressed that the health of the film industry is crucial. “Everybody’s films must do well. All the producers must do well. Not just in cinema, there are a lot of people outside it as well who are dependent on cinema,” he said. He highlighted that various businesses rely on the success of films, making it essential for audiences to support all cinematic endeavors.

The film, originally set for release on April 10, 2023, has been rescheduled and will now hit screens worldwide on October 1, 2023. Dhanush is not only starring in the film but also directing it and producing it through his company, Wunderbar Films, in collaboration with Dawn Pictures. Arun Vijay plays the antagonist, heightening anticipation for a compelling showdown between him and Dhanush. Additionally, Nithya Menon will play a significant role, lending further appeal to the film.
